They're comparable gloves, in style and function. The selling point of the Stratos over the Equinox would be that the Gore-Tex liner is more breathable than the OutDry Alpinestars use. This means you will have a bit more breathability for the warmer weather riding where you get caught in the rain. -Zack

Depends on the bike on the speed and on the time you have them on but generally they perform well on 8 degrees temperature.
