He came from the legendary school of the late Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, I totally believe if you came from under her tutoring you knew not only how to sing songs but how to lead them too.

@@mrs.b.5307 Very charismatic. He loved singing with a choir. I will never forget that when he heard our sound, he really savoured it. He had a lovely spirit.
Miss this real gospel music, real choirs, real musicians, I can't even listen to this new age gospel music lacks soul because most are doing it for the money.
I been looking for this my mom's use to play this when I was a kid I heated it now that she long gone and I'm now 38 years old now I understand I miss the early 90s...Joy🎉🎉🎉🎉
Talk about the the oldies but GOODIES!! This song just put a smile in my SOUL!!! Lord THANK YOU for reminding me of the JOY I can plug into in spite of unfavorable circumstances. GLORY ‼️
Every time I see Reverend James Moore sang this joyful song! It brings tears to my eyes. I know he's dying nevertheless his commitment to bringing gospel music to God's and his Christ sheep for healing and joy have # 1 priority. Reverend Prophet Raymond M.
At times we in the church fail to understand the importance of a godly spirit led Psalmist. One who could lead the saints in new levels of worship and consecration to God. We compare them to worldly entertainers and miss the real importance of their work. Some die young and all we can do is reminisce. Let it not be so! Pray for them!
Wow, that took me straight to church Rev. James Moore sure could sing he had an anointed voice his, choir and band was awesome. Thanks malacomg for sharing!!!
That bass line Mr. Joel Smith did at 6:34-35, mad homage and respect for Mr. Joel Smith, an anointed game changer in gospel music, along with gospel music legends, Jonathan Dubose and David Blakley, all the shoulders our generation of musicians stand on!
Joel smith on bass...smh. Nobody will ever replace him as my fav bass player of all time. Rip sir. Had to come back amd mention james moore as my fav "break it down" singet. Nobody killed breakdowns like moore
When he said, "Y'all can act like Y'all ain't got no joy but my musicians got some joy up here"!! Yes, they sure did! One of the greatest and anointed male lead singers in gospel music history. R.I.P JAMES MOORE.😌😌😌😌
Thank u rev James just sitting here enjoying these good gospel song I enjoyed as a little boy. Trying to learn how to play on this new keyboard. I can't sit down for phrase the lord. Rev James was. Feeling this song. 1 off the greats that ever did it. Rip. Brother thank u. 7/13/19.
No you wouldn't. You can go to a concert simply for good music. The function of church is to worship a worthy God who has saved us. It is also to mature in our ability to submit to Christ's Lordship. So, once God's Word was taught (another function for gathering), our joy would remain but you'd be faced with your true spiritual condition before God. You'd then either have to repent and receive the gift of salvation by faith . . . or that superficial excitement you felt would quickly dissipate. Jesus taught: "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24) The Christian's joy is not simply in the music but in the words of praise and gratitude toward a merciful, loving, faithful God who redeemed our souls.
@@2308521 Again, try a club. Or a false church under the guise of Christianity because there are plenty of those around. And trust me, you wouldn't return where authentic Christian fellowship and worship were taking place if you were there just for self gratification. For the very reasons I already stated.
@@WendieRenee I think it's interesting how certain you are of my actions and intentions......and shouldn't church be full of non believers?......or are people just indoctrinated into Christianity?......how would new members be acquired?
@@2308521 I would fellowship with you any day of the week and twice on Sundays.... .. I think more people than we know, enjoy fellowshipping, listening to the music and just being in joy of the moment without all the other stuff...
I remember my family would travel and listen to James Moore the entire trip!!! Up and down 75! That was in the early 90's and I'm now 48! Every once in a while I have to come back here and listen to lift my spirits from good memories! This band was so good this still sounds good almost 35 yrs later!!!
Mannnnnn, I'm enjoying myself tuhDAY!!!! Resurrection Sunday, listening to this is doing something to my soul!!! The late, great Rev. Moore doing his thing, the musicians killing it, the choir director is LIT!!!! Detroit's own legend, Rev. Moore. Who still got that Holy Ghost joy today???
Still sound like the Master James Moore I went to Southeastern High School ieith n Detroit MI. So glad to hear your voice again. I still give my gifts too praising the Lord like never before. Hod bless you and keep on doing works pleasing in Christ Jesus name. Keep the Faith God bless you,!
Weirdly enough, before I eased off listening to the radio, it seemed like every gospel drummer was using the same snare drum. Maybe it's just me, but that got irritating after a while.
The Lowly One I hear you. What’s wild is that I’m not a Drummer. I did play a little Bass in the early 2000’s though. I’m just a lover of music and I guess for me, there is a certain way a Snare Drum should sound
I and Joel tuned that snare the night before, but after hearing it, I'm thinking it wasn't the drum, it was the mic. Had a lot of fun on this project!!!
@@tacoquethat's just your regular old Shure SM57 they used on the snare drum, nothing special. So really, the sound came from: - the choice of snare - the tuning - the miking - (MOST IMPORTANT) the engineering & post-production
