Great job! Love the colour and texture of the fabric. And please stop apologising for not living in a fake instagram space. Most people don't. It's perfectly fine (and way less stressful) to just be comfy. ♥Your living-room looks hella comfy.
"My living room is just super lived in at the moment and not picture-perfect" GOOD! I'm happy for you, a cozy liveable room is what we should all aim for ✨ it looks lovely!
It ended up looking so cool! And don't apologize for having a "messy" living room, it is simply lived in and that is okay, everyone's looks like that! Decoration always takes time and it is best done when you actually have lived in the space and not within the first few days or so
It looks so good! I also always overestimate how fast i can make a project. I thought i could make my wedding dress in a weekend 🙈 it ended op only taking me 3 months (at least i started soon enough that it was still finished a month before my wedding)
You did an AWESOME JOB!! I am covering my sofa - ivory velvet, but I am going to spray it all down with a scotch guard to protect it from stains. Well Done x
First I love that you gave an old piece of furniture to your dog❤❤❤❤ I I am blown away! You are so talented and I just wish I had some of your ability. Thank you for a great video😊
Wow, the shape of this couch is awesome! It was such a good find! I am actually about to embark on a similar journey haha I acquired some foam for free and am deciding whether of not I want to DIY a couch from scratch or if I want to make new cushions for my outdoor furniture. To be determined haha anyways, I love the finished couch. You did a lovely job
@@halfsoybean thank you for the encouragement! I decided to make new outdoor cushion covers and just posted a video for it too! It was definitely a big endeavor. It took 2.5 days and 5 yards of fabric but the result was sooo worth it! 💗
Wow, here I am deliberating if I have it in me to make a new cover for my IKEA poang chair and you've reupholstered an entire couch 😳 you made it look so easy although i appreciate you showed just how long it took. The final result looks amazing. 20m of upholstery fabric must have been quite expensive, but I guess it balances against saving on a second hand couch..
thank you for reminding me! I forgot to mention in the video - but I had to get a little more to finish it and extra for my extra stash 😆 All up I think I bought about 20m and have about 4m left over?
It looks really nice! I’m reupholstering a chair so I came here looking for advice on how to reupholster with velvet. I chose a teal and I was looking for a convo on “nap”. I’ll keep reading up tho because I’m nervous to start. The couch I’m reupholstering is called the olwyn chair from Scandinavian design so if you Google it you’ll see it’s a simple enough chair to do. Thank you for this video!
I love it 🎉. You did a great job to have your Dream come true. It looks fabulous. Much better than the original seat, sofa,or whowever you called. My inglish is plenty horrible, but I hope you undestand what I mean. I am HULDA from Puerto Ric🎉 Much Blessings
Hi beautiful work ! I was wondering what fabric ,color, and cost of fabric. i have a 5 seat sectional and i wanted to do the same color as yo did i found a velvet i like at $12 a yard I was planning on using a strecth fabric hopefully two way strech . Im curious ..do you think using a non strech fabric is better than a two way strech fabric and why? Again you found a great sofa and did a beautiful job , I so love it!!!!i did subscribe just bc you are amazing and id love to see more of your talent
im also thinking of redoing my couch! i really dont like it right now, its just a dark gray and i was thinking of doing maybe a gray or beige gingham fabric and add ruffles at the bottom
