I owe thousands in council tax, as ex business owner and employer for years, I get zero help from them when I've hit rock bottom, it's not value for money is it. I am in Northampton where the council was mismanaged so badly, it had to be controlled by central government at one point as wasted about 80 million on a building for their own staff, millions more for other stuff still missing, they're a disgrace

I’m beyond disgusted now. My daughter is homeless, disabled and has to pay to get around on buses. She struggles so I help. I am a pensioner with no dentist, struggle to see my doctor. I wish I had never paid a penny in tax. I worked up to age 68 and was being taxed on my pension too.

Same here I worked for 50 years and even though I retired 9 years ago I pay tax on my pensions, my wife 69 still works part time to keep things going . Today I read via BBC that Northumberland county council have bought 6 or 7 houses for Ukraine and Afghan refugees. Council were quick to say these are people from countries we agreed to take. We have a house nearby with them. They throw piles food and rubbish into the street constantly. Recently left 3 pairs of brand new adidas trainers (delivered) still with labels on in the street. 100 each pair! They must be getting them along with brand new clothes so often they just throw them all out

And yet the pensioners and widows (many of which have paid into the system for the best part of half a century) are being deprived of a winter fuel allowance at the expense of illegal immigrants. Why does this Government not have the sense to determine its priorities? I am 81 years of age and live alone. Believe me if I were Pm I would focus on listening to the British People that I am supposed to represent.

I live in Scotland, pensioner, I get 8.400 pounds a year, I will not claim pension credit as I've never leant on the benefit system, I was taught very young that this was a safety net, not a career choice!, I'm lucky, I have a family who help me out! They do what my government should be doing!
