I watch quite a few travel vloggers on RU-vid but you guys are, by far my favorite, with Kara and Nate being my second fave. I always wondered about this kind of breakdown and appreciate it and the hard work you guys put in with the narrative and editing. While a video may only last 20-30 minutes, the hours of editing are innumerable. I can't wait to see how this year progresses for you both! Say "Hi" to Deadpan Ludvig for me. 😁
Wow thank you Robin! Kara and Nate are my favourite RU-vidrs and the reason I got into this in the first place (and dragged Ludvig along, haha). I am so happy you are enjoying our videos - thanks so much for joining us! Super happy you appreciated the behind the scenes!
Congratulations on your great journey so far! Since I came across to your channel couple of months ago, you guys immediately became one of my favourites and I've since watched almost all of your videos. Chloé, your enthusiasm on things is delightful to watch and makes me smile, and as a fellow Nordic (Finnish), Ludvig's deadpan presentation and humour are absolutely hilarious! Truly think more people should find your channel, as every view and subscriber is well deserved. Can't wait what you're coming up next! Ps. Congrats on your wedding!!
Aw thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to leave this lovely comment! We're so happy you've joined us! Hehe, I shall let Ludvig know you appreciate his deadpan humour... it must be a Nordic thing I'm guessing?!
Great job, I think every million views with watch time etc is around $3K so you’re heading in the right direction. Grab any relevant sponsors to your content & that’ll help ya big time
Congratulations on your success Chloe 🎉. It was your video on Air New Zealand premium economy, that convinced me to buy two premium economy tickets to Aitutaki this September. You were just so convincing on your presentation of their product! I think they should give you royalties for your video on their product ✈️. Keep up the great work, and thank you!
Hellooo! This is such an exciting comment! I am so happy to read that you loved the vid so much you decided to do it yourself! You will love it. I will definitely continue pushing for an Air NZ partnership hehe
By my own financial means, I can only support you by liking and commenting your wonderful content, You're my go-to channel about travek besides "Wolters World"... I LOVE your channel, if I may say so?!?!? Hi from Frankurt, GER!
Cheers 🍾🥂 to your success!! I think it was the cross U. S. Sleeper train video that roped me in too. I’m glad I bumped into it and subscribed. Your excited dance is everything! Continued success to you both!!
Wow! That escalated quickly. I was one of the first few hundred subscribers. Now look at you. I’ll put your channel on auto play again at work to help your play time algorithm.
Kia Ora! I came across you just today and now wanting to book the amtrak California Zephyr! Id love to know what all the other youtubers are bringing in! Ka mau te wehi Chloe!!!!
That’s a lot of lattes ❤. You’re the greatest couple…sorry Kara and Nate. I love that Ludvig makes you feel safe. I have a Ludvig that makes me feel safe as well…his name is Abran 🎉
I really enjoy your cruising content, but all your videos are fun and interesting. Well done, as it is a long slog, but your content is the sort that will be relevant to people to look at over the years unlike some news channels. Congratulations on the wedding too! xx
The sleeper train videos from San Fran to NY are what even made me aware of this channel. Probably because I'm from the US, they were my favorites too, because it was a chance to see the sights of those train rides, even if just in the video. The Zephyr is def on my wish list.
I'm so happy you found us though the US train videos! I am excited to continue posting more sleeper trains (more American ones are on my list too). I hope you get to try the Zephyr one day!
Excellent You guys are fun Enjoy it Good bit of revenue for sure I’m sure you can run your self employment business with this income and deducting those expenses Contact Polar Latitudes and get discount or free Antarctica trip I went last year while my son has been working onboard You’ll love it
Kara and Nate Counting Countries, next Meridian all have been with PL Nice small ship but great guides super food more landings If u can pick the itinerary with Falklands and S Georgia that is really encouraged Most ships don’t go there Usually longer trips
This was such an interesting video, thanks for making it. I started making videos about some fairly similar content (flights, cruises, trains) but different style to you a few months ago and although I’m not yet monetised my monthly viewer stats are very similar to what you were getting in for the first couple of months you covered in this video, so interesting to see how much that could potentially earn if I do get monetised. My big goal at the moment would be to be able to earn enough to pay for at least one of my trips each year and that now feels a bit more attainable! Found your channel through this video and have now been binge watching quite a few of your videos! Keep up the great work!
Yay thanks for watching Charles! That’s so exciting you’re creating content yourself here on RU-vid! I’ll check out your vids! Happy to hear this was helpful to you - I watched sooooo many of these when starting out trying to understand how much we could be making. It’s the most exciting feeling in the world to get your first few dollars😆🤩
I found you like many others from your cross US train video (I’d been generally watching travel videos, not train specific). I stayed because of your warm, adventurous, kind-hearted spirit. Honestly I’d watch any type of video you make, not just train-related. Keep following your heart and we’ll be here along with you on the journey!
Aw thank you 🤩 that was so lovely to read. Such kind words! I am overwhelmed by the wonderful community we have here and I’m so excited you found our channel!
Congratulations To You & To Ludvig Because All Your Videos Were Incredible & It Was Amazing & Being Able To Follow Yours & Ludvig’s Journey & May Their Be More Videos To Come ❤🎉
Hallo Chloe and Ludvig. I have been enjoying your travel videos very much. The presentation and editing are delightfully seamless and fast paced. Thank you. I have some questions that perhaps your other subscribers might look forward to learning more about: 1) You must do considerable research before a trip to prepare for the best and most interesting coverage. Over the course of your varied experiences, what have you found to be the most effective ways to study the route and its points of interest? 2) When I travel, I always have trouble with the problem of electric converters and pluggy wirey things for my electronic stuff. Have you and Ludvig found a favourite gadget to recharge devices? 3) There is a popular subject on youtube called an EDC (every day carry) kit. I learned that a good pair of tweezers and earplugs are essential when traveling. What have you learned to always bring with you? 4) Your vids are SO exceptionally polished productions (what a relief from most of youtube!), Do you and your sweetheart have professional media experience? What are your top 3 guidelines for making an A+ quality scene? Thank you again for the exceptional quality and such delightful content. -- Morfydd J.
Helloooo! Thank you so much for your lovely words!! This was so nice to receive. Love these questions... 1. I usually do the majority of my research when editing - I love to learn as much as possible when writing my scripts for voiceovers. I find this is the best way for me to learn :) I use google/ chatgpt for facts! 2. We haven't found a particular gadget, but we do have a great power bank that keeps us charged in sticky situations. 3. That's so cool - I haven't heard of EDC. I guess ours would be ear plugs, bandaids, lip balm and a mini hand cream haha. 4. This is so wonderful to read, and I'm genuinely amazed that our audience thinks this as I have no experience in media or editing. I just began teaching myself a few years ago, and still to this day just use iMovie (hoping to upgrade soon). I have a background in acting/performing so that definitely helps with on camera presence. I think my main focuses when creating a video, is to 'show not say' by adding lots of broll/voiceovers, for an engaging clip. My favourite part of the process would be searching for awesome music for our scenes :)
Congratulations, you two 🥳!!! I have to say I feel such a sense of pride knowing that from the very first spike, I've been following your journey!! I just love your channel - your sense of humor, quirky music, creative editing! My husband rarely watches RU-vid and I've got him hooked as well!! Can't wait for more🎉
Haha thank you Larisa! It’s been awesome to read all of your lovely comments throughout the journey! So happy to hear you’ve dragged your husband into the shenanigans 🤣
Your train journey with your mum was the first video of yours I watched!! Just realised that I've only watched videos with you solo none with you and Ludvig! Congratulations on your first year of monetization!
Ah yay - that was such an awesome trip, and even more special with my mum. So glad you joined the channel!! And great to hear you like the solo vids - lots more of those to come in the next few months :)
The first video that I watched of yours was the sleeper train from SF to NYC, so it is interesting to see that so many fellow subscribers found you through that vid as well.
Congratulations on your awesome successes! Really excited to hear that there are more rail and cruising adventures in your future! I also think the first of your videos that I watched was either the Indian Pacific sleeper train, or the XPT overnight train 😊
