Hi, I am starting on one of these and had read about bleed through of the orange color. They were right! I used Tamiya white spray primer and am having serious bleeding of the orange. Did you use primer before painting your blue and or white colors? If so what brand did you use. Also, what brand paints did you use? Thanks for any advice.
Yeah with those brighter molded colors that bleed- through is an issue! I would recommend next time to use a grey primer. That's what I used when I built mine. I built the AMT Ford Econoline Coke van and when I painted the roof white, I applied a coat of the grey primer to avoid the red to bleed through. The brands of paint I use are Rustoleum and Krylon. On this VW T2 Bus I used Krylon Gloss Peekaboo Blue!
@@smackbottom53 Yeah any time you're dealing with bright red or orange molded plastics and you want it a different color without bleed-through, grey or black primer is a safe bet! Glad I could be of help 😊
