I paint and assemble the part for the control deck in this video. I use Tamiya paints sprayed through a Badger Patriot airbrush.

Mine has been one problem after another, it's not like I'm an amateur. But this kit has been driving me crazy. And I'm a pretty decent model builder. My main issues are with seams. But I also had issues with one of the seats on the flight deck. UGH. Hopefully I can get this thing finished.

You will..just treat it like artwork. Take your time with it. Don't get frustrated. I read about the issues with it. Either some are worse than others, or I tackled mine differently

Looking really good! Gonna be a big model! I'm working on the 1/72 DML/Dragon P-61 and your videos and tips are helping me out big-time; priming the black plastic with gray, then adding the interior green for example.

It should always be primed in my opinion. I get better paint adhesion.

That's a good kit, even for its age.

Yes. It is what I expected. There are fit issues, but it isn't as bad if a person takes their time.

Looking good so far. I am interested to see how the major components of the airframe fit.

Its a bit rough. I took my time with it glued seams individually instead of as whole parts so I could control how it fit easier.

What glue do you use for these models? My glue is too goopy

Usually thin cement that is like water. Tube glue can work well though for certain applications if used properly.

What grey did you use on the engine

I think I used Tamiya Sky Grey. Not quite the grey it should be, but it worked for me.
