What's the back story Wednesday?
This Revel 1949 Mercury Woody Wagon was built just before I started my RU-vid channel. The wood grain is mostly decals, however, the frame of the wooden area is hand painted using two different colors of Testors jar paints brushes on simultaneously to help give the wood graining a more organic look.
the little Surf board is hand made from nalsa wood along with the roof rack.
This build is also THE build that helped me become a better Judge at model car events. In the video I tell a brief recount of a local judge and his open disdain for the build and what he said about it. I took not only what he said, but how he said it to heart and vowed to never be like that guy at a show!
