Octane and his grandfather relationship may have been rocky but just octane being allowed to be there with his grandfather shows that his grandfather didn't hate him entirely and the same could be said about Octane
I think octane being there was cleary him using octane as bait since it lured them in while giving them the idea their arrival would be a surprise. I don't know why people try and make it seem like his grandfather cared because it was always shown as an act when done so he could profit lol.
@@Blu_Moon_Owlhis father, Duardo Silva, has been dead for years. Torres Silva, Octanes Grandfather, has been using a special stim to keep himself ypung, and has been posing as Octanes dad.
@@lesliejacoby9137 he was surprised though. he didn't mean for them to come, it basically sabotaged everything and had he not gotten lucky he would not be able to talk to revenant.
Agreed but "defeating" him would not have been that satisfying seeing he was just a rotten egg in a bunch from the games being rigged, wraith being expirmentated on, and etc. This will bring more satisfaction imo though I still wonder if Respawn even know what they will do once they kill a legend unless only revenant will fully die and they just make up a robot clone fights on to represent him for his fans lol.
Revenant being completely hell bent on dying and just suddenly wanting to live feels kinda rushed, its really cool and i understand revenant wanting to be in control, but kinda came out of knowhere
Agree to an extent. I am willing to give them time to see what makes more power so valuable to him. Does he want to kill everything, domination, total rule? I have a feeling though it will be a while till we get a good explanation on that part though.
I got a feeling he's going to use this opportunity to take revenge on loba for prolonging his death and making him look weak, so now he can get revenge and take his own life if he feels like it, basically he's now fully in control to do what he wants before he dies, but that's just a theory, AN APEX LEGENDS THEORY, thanks for ready
@@VaporwavesJKDon’t underestimate what loosing a family member and being betrayed by someone who you thought to be your friend could do to someone. Octane may be dumb, but the things he had to experience in that 4~ minute video was a lot. 0:48 3:06 3:14
@@thawingkarma233 those screams could change any man, it would be a very strange but good idea. I don't think it would happen but it'd create a lot of interesting moments for a character who has been mostly the same since release.
he is not fit for the role, he's smart but he doesn't really care about ruling. he was an abused child seeking to getting love from his dad who is actually his grandad. he can't replace duardo unless he gets a massive character assasination.
I just remembered how once shadow Revenant sayd to Loba that in his reality(or somthing like this) all her actions leaded him to become a god And after waching this trailer i think he just foreshadowed this one moment, since Duardo sayd somthing about his upgrades starting to work and that whole thing about Control over everything, so, maybe that's what will happend in future?, this Revenant we know will continue to grow stronger and his "upgrades" will continue to change and evolve to point where he will have same abilities as him? either way it would be interesting to see Shadow Revenant playable in future, or rather Revenant with that kind of Abilities
God i hope not, remember, titanfall, fell to become apex, now apex aint bad, but another addition to this universe makes me fear another loss of quality, i dont want the halo show all over again.
@@YomotomenI can totally see where you’re coming from. The lore has totally dropped in quality and is still slowly dipping in quality. They’ve been dragging this rev/loba thing on for so damn long now.
@@jessie06_ true, crypto has been "searching for the truth" ever since season 3. and nearly every single legend in terms of lore except ballistic just sucked lately.
@@jessie06_i think its impossible for this rev\loba thing to stop because that would mean that revenant would have to die and be removed from the game which would suck honestly. Apex has put itself in a shitty mess.
Duardo gave him a chance to power and now he has the head so he can die anytime he wants and can override his coding but ig he just wants to wreak havoc before he dies. I liked the trailer tho
i feel like revenant wanting to die was mostly because he couldnt control whether he could die or not. now that he has his head, he can kill himself if he ever wants to, but maybe he wants to use his new found power first before he does that.
Exactly. He had no control over his “life” which isn’t even really a life. He’s a slave to those in control. He’s forced to live painful immortality and die over and over again for nothing. But now that he has full control, he gets to “live” how he wants to. He finally has a reason to keep going.
You forget something, Revenant can't actually kill himself. His coding doesn't allow him to destroy his own head. That's why it's always Loba the one to try to destroy it
@@KalraSura untrue. he has no one to trust to destroy his head because he betrayed the only people who'd destroy it. he has no one to go to in order to destroy his head. the only thing he can do is control what he does. but until he somehow meets someone willing to kill him while knowing how to destroy his head he's stuck.
I feel this is setting up for the future of apex because a major role in the apex games in lore was Duardo and now Revenant killed him so now the fate of the games is up in the air especially with how much power Rev has now, I’m glad he’s returned as the villain it only feels fitting.
Kinda, most people were beginning to sympathize with him because Loba was keeping him alive for a petty reason and something he had no control over. This feels extremely rushed. All that build up for a cheap shock of Silva dying and rev instantly dropping his original motive.
@@yourstrulli9089the reason for his original motive was because he wanted to at least be able to see the end. The thing with death is that its also the guranteed end to all of our pain and suffering. A life where tht pain will never end no matter what you want because you cant die is horrible. Now tht he has control, he at least has a way out of this life when he actually wants to. Theres an actual end to the tunnel that is existence for him
I feeling duardo isn't dead. He might've even made himself into a simulacrum or smth similar like uploaded his consciousness into a computer. He seems to smart to play with fire like revenant and he always seemed confident in the face of death
@@RandomN35Syeah but Stim is strange, we don’t know all its effect. It has regenerative properties obviously, but to what extent does that regeneration go to. It’s possible that it could have saved his life, due the unique version Duardo uses… though his body would likely be mutilated by the stabbings the Revs did to him.
that's exactly what i thought. there's no way he's just dead like that. part of why he studied and played with rev could be so he could be like him. i def think he'll come back as a simulacrum- hopefully not as a playable character tho lol
This could set up a potential PvE mode where it’s revenant as the main villain and you play as the characters that are part of this main story right now but I don’t Respawn wants to play into thT
Well Silva normally has time in advance to make a plan. Here, he had to make a plan on the spot, can revenant in his eyes, was the person who could be the easiest to manipulate out of all of them. He, though, did not know how much of a person he had progressed
I don't think Duardo is dead, he might be but I personally don't think he is. The first scene is him loading a stim into presumably the cane at the end. It doesn't look like he got it but think about how calculated he's been up until this point, he even got a stim because he KNEW something bad was bound to happen to him. This might be a miscalculation, he might of misjudged Revenant's actions, thinking he wouldn't betray him or not to the extent of what Revenant actually did, which is why he wasn't able to reach the stim in the video. I think he did though, somehow, because it doesn't feel like what he would let happen, regardless of how bizarre Revenant's actions were. He even knew beforehand about the tracker on Octane, and let them get there because he knew that Revenant would team up with Loba because he knew Revenant would persuade Loba. It's crazy how far he thinks ahead of time, which is why this feels so unrealistic. Could be wrong.
Nah the thing he injected was just stim, which makes him age slower and have more energy. He uses it frequently as explained in some loading screen texts. It can't fix being dead tho
I theorize that the final chapter, will be highly linked to the Halloween event of the shadow realm. Because with revenant's voice lines with Loba, he tells Loba that her quest for vengeance gave his rise to power, and wonders if it will happen again in her world, and judging by the recent events of the story it seems to be leading up to that dark future.
Don't know what this says about me, but would love to see a rev finisher based on the Duardo death scene, whether via spawning shadows or somehow having a few other rev bodies appear (clawing up from underground maybe? lol). Have the main Rev standing over the victim watching menacingly (or laughing) while the shadows/rev bodies pummel the legend off screen while you hear the screams.
I don’t think this is the end for Duardo becuase of how long they have spent to set up duardo instead I think they are gonna bring him back (as a simulacrum or something else) and make him a legend seeking revenge or whatever they make his motive as.
I think Duardo (Torres) is not dead . I my opinion he wouldn't go "all in" without a backup plan. I don't know if you notice he was reading 2 articles, the first was that power outage in that district (new map) for the next apex games. Below it was involving "New concerns over new phase technologies". So he's not out the picture yet. I think "big" picture is another war is coming and everybody is going to drop their differences to save the outlands.
Hear me out,Duardo planned for this and he created his own simulacrum so when he dies he can get the Kaleb cross treatment. But that’s just a theory, a game theory l.
Knowing that Stim has strange effects on the body, there’s a small chance that the Stim could save Duardo’s life… Obviously his body would be mutilated from all the attack Rev’s army did to him. But he could be alive.
I actually like a good amount of it. I feel like Rev’s change in attitude was too sudden, but Silva did do something. He set up Rev and his new army. Plus his death is pretty interesting. He was always so confident, plotting, and manipulating, and he dies because he didn’t really understand someone he thought he figured out. So I think it’s a solid wrap up.
Of course it was sudden, he was presented the perfect opportunity to gain control over his "life". Dying before getting to feel what's like not to be a slave again would be a waste. Loba wouldn't simply comply to this, going so far no to get revenge. He chose violence because that's what he is good for
I also thought that at first but after reading some comments it kinda makes sense. Its normal for someone who has been enslaved their entire life to want to die, but if they were given a chance for freedom and for example unlimited money they would obviously choose to live
I feel like Revenants change of heart on his life is kind of valid. It starts to kind of make sense that at first he just wanted to die because hundreds of memories of him dying flooded his mind, he just wanted them to be gone, but after having a few years of coping with this I imagine he discovered that he just wants control over his own mortality, and with the upgrades Duardo gave him made him a force to be wreckoned with and betrayed everyone. I am upset about Duardos poor writing tho. They really didnt think his character out very well.
I think he want to die because he didn’t want to feel like he was being controlled by someone And as soon as he came through, control, his body and spirit again he doesn’t need the urge to die because he’s got the power that he wanted
What if Duardo planted himself in Revanant, kind of like how the doctor is stuck in Ash, Duardo in Rev would be a unstoppable villain with revs power and Duardos mind
