Donna there are 3 main Macro Nutrients. Protein carbs and fat. Fat is fat, Sugar is Sugar. So for instance, I eat 2000 calories a day, and my Protein reaches 110g Carbs 240g, and Fat 40g - 50g. When something says it’s Fat Free, that means it has 0 grams in fat, but it may be high in protein or carbs. When something says it’s Sugar free, it may have 0g of sugar but be high in fat or carbs. Point is, you NEED carbs fat and protein. Sugar is naturally pretty bad for you and should be consumed in moderation, if any at all. Healthy fats that come from avocados, whole grains, eggs, etc. are good for you.
