Suzzanna Love, Ron James, John Carradine . The Bogeyman is back in Ulli Lommel's follow-up to "The Bogeyman" . Watch the graveyard ending strongly reminiscent of De Palma's "carrie"
Here’s some fun facts: There were 3 Boogeyman movies from 1980-1994, and a trilogy of unrelated Boogeyman movies from 2005-2008. Even though they are unrelated, they were released in a 5 movie collection with the first and third original movies.
The biggest movie con in history. I remember we got hold of this early 80s after seeing the bogey man. All sat down to watch it only to find it was the original first movie mashed in with some disjointed newly produced scenes
I admit when I watched this sequel as a kid I thought this all that and a bag of domino's. This would be in the 'so bad it's good category. No way anyone can take this serious, especially the ending.
This movie went straight to the banned list in the UK when it was released as was the original. The video nasty era was in full force... so in the UK we never got to see this film until decades later.
Well done the BBFC from saving the UK from this dross then. Amazing they banned this crap because of the non-existent 'horror' when they should have banned it because it's below the level of a home-video.
@@ForgottenHorrorchannel Definitely! In fact it didn't stop lazily repeating whole scenes from the first till around the 40m mark! Absolutely dismal laziness in the script and direction there. Easily the worst horror movie ever.
@@alib463 i watched a lot of the video nasties when they were released and a lot of them were trash lol... i own a few of the better ones and to my shame i own this one lol cheers
Thanks for the upload. Picture and sound quality weren't too good but was nice to be able to watch this here. This doesn't seem to be available on DVD as what is billed as this film actually turns out to be the redux version of the original so I'm thankful to be able to catch the full film here at least.
I have just ordered this vhs tape. It's on the VTC pre cert label. Although waiting to see this "Video Nasty" in the mail, after watching this beta rip I found it to be cut and missing a lot of gruesome bits. But I will still be considering this tape as a collector's item - and I do have the full uncut Syme (video label) Australian vhs, under the title "Boogeyman II" which is fully Uncut. I might do a comparison video comparing what is missing in this British tape, using this and the complete Australian vhs.
Well I think fgsfds deserves naming for uploading this and showing us how NOT to make a horror movie with this exceptionally poor effort. I've seen far too many horror movies and this was literally the worst and I don't say that lightly. It makes Zombie Island Massacre and Piranha 3DD look like Oscar winners. Where to start? -Repeating what seemed like most of the scenes of the first film for a good 30 minutes was not only incredibly lazy, cheap and disrespectful to your audience but also proceeded to show them this film would be awful and have no imagination of its own. - Zero budget was on display. - Awful acting even by trained 'actors' Ulli and Suzanna (who both at least had the decency to look embarrassed they wrote this trash). - Has a script an 8 year old might have typed in an afternoon and then rejected because literally nothing of note happens. - The 'effects' consisted of holding 'floating objects' just out of shot and then banging them into the actors faces repeatedly whilst squirting tomato ketchup on them. - There was no story and it was like being stuck at a party with the dullest people known to humanity. For an hour. - They even had the nerve to not only slag off Brian de Palma, but then they aped his ending to Carrie. If he's that bad Ulli then surely you'd rip off a director you apparently admire so that doesn't even make sense?! - I wasted 1h15 of my life I could have been sleeping through. I wish this movie wasn't here and myself and the other 48,500 naive fools hadn't watched this because we vaguely liked the first movie. I will never watch another Ulli Lommel film again. Two is enough for anyone. The Uwe Boll of the 80s only less professional if that's possible.
I've only seen the redux version before...this version is a lot better...I read somewhere they wanted to do a much higher budget sequel to the original film...which was a huge shock to Ulli Lommell so this was more or less just thrown together instead..
Spoilers……………………………………………..The movie isn’t that bad. It reminds me of student made films. As for saying it’s lazy to show stock footage from the first movie, doing so is a money saver.Budget is a factor.Other film series have done this such as Godzilla:All Monsters attack).Citizen Kane it’s not but hey,it’s free to watch here so you get what you pay for.Lacey does have a very detailed memory of events she wasn’t present for such as the deaths of the kids at her old house and the couple at the abandoned beach house, lol.A bit much of her memories but does have everything to do with the plot.I like the fact that there was a play of generic factors in that the Butler did it,lol.People dump on Ulli but I’ve always been a fan of his.
Why in hell didn't they just renamed the original to "The Boogyman II" and get over it already! Because, 90% of this craptacular shitfest is all from the original movie!
Ed Wood, eat your heart out! This is an example of one of the most inept movies ever made. It has shoddy cinematography, lighting provided with a headlight, dialog by a dopers, shitty sound design, and wooden acting. Most of these Lommel movies suck - - low budget arthouse films made by a guy with little talent, no imagination, and whom found his movie camera in a dumpster :-)
I agree. I was beginning to think I was going mad reading all these glowing comments and thanking the uploader for wasting 1h 15 of their lives. Don't people see how fucking awful this shitty movie is? It's the shoddiest sequel ever made and I've had the misfortune to see Piranha 3DD.
