Interesting take on a cult favourite. 'Back to Paradise' is actually a '.38 Special' tune which briefly charted in 1987, the year of this movie. That was a golden moment, "I Got Beer...I Got Beer..." I remember those times from my own teenage years. Nice link-up with the original Gilligan's Island. Great video on your part Jordan, I never thought anyone would do a locations video for what was mostly regarded as an obscure 80s movie. Well done.
yeah i do remember back in the day recognizing gilligan's island from revenge of the nerds 2. i am glad you did this because i use to think that the front doors & interiors of the hotel corral essex was on a soundstage because it was too run down plus the sandy streets. please tell me that you will be doing the country club from caddyshack
So awesome that you did these locations! I love the Nerds movies. I didnt know about the Coral Essex Hotel location at all. That was interesting to learn about. Great video!
Another excellent video, I’ve always been curious to see if the hotel the Nerds were staying in was still around, thanks for the video and please keep it up. 👍👍
While here, check out chateau Mar hotel where a lot of celebrities stayed (Marilyn, rat pack, Jackie Gleason and more) right across the street from Jackie Gleason house.
11:11 Pepe’s Taxi was a recently retired taxi owned by Yellow Cab Of Broward. I was a newly minted cab driver and saw this on the lot. Coincidentally, it was the very first taxi I ever drove! (Its original number was visible under the paint, up close.)
I really enjoyed this video, i have not seen this movie in a long time, you did a great job matching up the scenes, this was a good movie and funny thanks again Jordan.
Hi Jordan! I recently found your channel and I wanted to say, thank you so much for all that you do! You put alot of energy and time to bring us incredible information. I really enjoy your channel. Thanks again, God Bless and lots of love from a Grandma in Cali 🌺
Hi Jordan, we just went into your videos and liked the last 35 you have posted. we did not realize we had let it go without liking them. We have enjoyed all of them you have touched on so many different subjects. So fun to see you enjoy all your baseball games. Jah does make a great traveling companion for you, he is so cute. Glad to see that Scott has joined you on some of your recent videos. The item on Elvis were great to see. Mary and I just loved the movie Elvis, Austin Butler did a great job. The movie was such and in site to Elvis's life. We just wanted you to know how much we have enjoyed all your videos. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to see you up and coming videos.
I like this movie and still watch it. It's very funny, when Poindexter hits Wormser in the groin with the metal detector on the beach. Great to see all the locations. Wonderful Vlog!!
I'm glad some other people enjoyed it as much as I did... I knew this wouldn't be a very popular video, but I always wanted to see then, so im glad you felt the samr
Was is the final scene of that movie as an extra, also worked the wrap party after filming was over on a party boat on the inter coastal waterway in ft Lauderdale.
I tried to get my kids to watch this with me and they dogged me about how bad it was. It’s sad that they just don’t understand what it was like growing up in the ‘80s and enjoying movies like this.
Hi Jordan, what a great film, I love that part where Stuart slides out of the Hotel. It looks a beautiful beach front, I could spend a few hours down there. Great vlog Jordan.
Wow Jordan and Scott what a trip down memory lane pretty cool to see this once again! I think there is a little bit of the nerds and all of us and the outcome at the end of the movie was the best thanks again for the trip
I never saw this one lol. Ow you got me wanting to watch something else! That statue of the woman open her chest is amazing and so unique! Thanks for showing us another great video of filming locations! Keep on being you ! Be safe in your travels! 🦴🐾❤️
Awesome, I love this movie! I remember when you did the filming locations from the first one and you said you would cover your eyes during the naughty parts but always peaked. Your mom saw my comment and said she knew you always peaked. 😂😂😂
Great vlog Jordan! I grew up a little ways north of there and spent many a night down on the strip. Unfortunately Ft. Launderdale beach has changed a lot since the 80's and is almost unrecognizable now. The Elbo Room on the corner of A1A and Las Olas is the only place still there from the "old days."
Thanks for making this, I’ve thought about going down there and making a video of the locations, now I don’t have to. Well done. And ‘Take me back to Paradise’ was by .38 special
I've lived in the Ft Lauderdale area for 38 years and have seen the movie, and could match most of it up, but never could find the hotels that were used. I do remember the Galt Ocean Mile.
Queen of Tejano shot and killed by her supposedly best friend. The stories about her claim that the Astrodome was her last show but a place called Diamonds and Denim in another Texas town, Bryan. also claims to be the final show. Besides that issue, her gravesite is spectacular, but i have not seen any professional vlogs about it, Hugs to you and Jah, Have a great and safe trip. Hopefully will see your Selena vlog soon, Love. Bailarina
Two classic college movies about underdog losers. You will never see these film made in today's society. Just wish weed was legal back then because to see these baked in a theatre would be sweet. But today, with weed being legal in many states, I can watch these on DVD safe at home, baked, laugh my a$$ off, and pig out. No pushy crowds. No 20 $ price.
I've also adored this film since i was a kid, and like you absolutely love the beginning credit sequence, and have always wanted someone to do a location video!! Thank you Jordan, hope to visit someday! I've met Curtis Armstrong, and he was awesome, i said to him, 'i thought you was my mothers old douche bag but that's in Ohio', and he was quite amused :) WE'RE STAYING AT THE ROYAL FLAMINGO!!! 555 43 69!!! P.S, wasn't too keen on Pt 3, but loved Pt 4 Nerds in Love, is that on your cards for doing filming locations of? Nouveau riche!!! :) \m/
I'm not familiar with this movie, but watched the vlog anyway. It was fun hearing the enthusiasm in your voice! I can tell this one meant a lot to you.
