6:00 was so sad and upsetting. I can’t betray my friends. And 6:35 where brings up Padmé, to make him give into the dark side and embrace it, just bring tears to my eyes. He didn’t want to, but he loved her so much. And the visuals add so much too. 7:23 I can just imagine tears coming down his face when he does what Palpatine says about finding the cold air within you.🥺 I really wish they had this exchange in the movie. Just makes you feel more bad for Anakin.😢

@@nicholasgrandfield1195 It was a long process. The key moment was artifically urged (forced out) by Palpatine. He knew how to create tunnel-vision to other people.
I really believed that Anakin knew palpatine was full of shit and was going to kill him and take his place,since in ROTS everything was his choice but i guess maul was right about grooming unless not

I think not. Anakin didn’t care for the title, he wanted access to the forbidden archives of the Temple so he could have access to the ancient knowledge of the Jedi (in order to find something to save Padmé). Also, Mace didn’t think Anakin was worthy of the title, so he wouldn’t have lied just to get Anakin on his side.
@@jakobrenner2230 Perhaps so...although given the heat of the moment and should they've destroyed the lord...if Mace went to Yoga and said he reviled who the lord was and helped destroy him so he made him master. I think that would have been enough...yet the female thing would have been too much still... Speaking of...why didn't Anakin call him on his bull about already having the ability to manipulate life...as he alluded to..??
Interesting theory. I feel that might have persuaded him, but I think overall, saving palpatine meant saving padme, which i think Anakin cared more for than power? Rank of master is what he wanted, but not at the cost of his wife and baby (babies)

I recall reading this when I was younger, and the scene being from Mace’s perspective, where he thought he saw the force “shatterpoint” in Palpatine, only to realize that the shatterpoint is actually Anakin’s, right as his arm is sliced off. I’m guessing this is an abridged version of the book for the audiobook, am I misremembering, or was there multiple adaptations written?
