We recently sat down with buzzing Florida artist Revenue Rob for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about the way of life in Palm Beach county, the area chasing when he came home from prison, his upbringing, the streets not being worth glorifying, losing his mom when he was 8 years old, moving with dad afterwards, jumping off the porch, catching his first case when he was 11, the consequences that come with being in the streets, being in the streets & rapping, his favorite artists he grew up listening to, starting to record music while in middle school, the feds picking up his charge, doing 4 years in state prison & 4 years in federal prison, explains the difference between state & federal prison, having a solid support system on the outside while he was away, writing & rapping while locked up, starting to record as soon as he came home, people being able to relate to his music, the inspiration for his viral breakthrough song “Pain”, being inspired by Hotthead Yungin’s performance on The Debut, the feedback he has received since his performance was released, manifesting his success, rapping about positive guidance in his music, RU-vid age restricted the performance video which slowed down the views, labels reaching out to him, explains why he hasn’t signed a deal yet, his new single “Hold Your Head”, upcoming music, how he feels when people compare his music to Soulja Slim, being proud of himself, chopping it up with Hotthead Yungin, fatherhood, shares advice for the youth, and much more!
