Korina shares many sonic characteristics with mahogany (it's warm, punchy, well-balanced, and even), but it's livelier and it has more overtone presence in the highs. Maple, on the other hand, tends to impart brightness, cut, and clarity when used for an electric guitar top. So, the Roundhouse 2 sounds similar to the classic single-cut maple-topped guitars of yore, but with a bit of extra sparkle and a slightly sunnier attitude.
