So it's following Thawne after the events of Legends S2. That makes makes sense considering Thawne's predicament in the current timeline on The Flash S8. I just hope that Matt also returns this season on The Flash
So, this Thawne is a time remnant of the anachronism time remnant original Thawne currently in prison. Since, when Barry created Flashpoint, he gave Thawne a second chance and turned him into a time remnant by inadvertently pulling him from the moment of his death. And, he was pulled from death again after his death in World War 1, when the Legends created a timequake, and created anachronisms, and he became one of them. And since the form of time travel that brought him back wasn’t from a speedster that time around, the laws of the Speed Force didn’t apply to him. So, the Speed Force went back to before his second return, and used the chronological tangent that he was a part of to make him.
Not really. In the Flarrowverse main timeline, hes the reason Barry got his speed. And before you mention that it happens much earlier than in the original timeline, that little detail isnt much to consider in comparison to the fact that if Thawne's original plan had worked, Barry wouldve died as a kid. Which in comparison, would make his creating the Flash in any point in time more protective of the timeline than hed prefer to be. He also helped the Legends protect the timeline in the episode in which they impersonate NASA astronauts in order to ensure the mission doesn't go awry.
Actually he's always protects timeline. It was Barry who messed it every time trying to change things. Whole point of Thawne's goal in LOT was to use Spear of destiny to change reality itself and not broke timeline
So glad that legends of tomorrow uses the fact that thawne is living paradox like in the comics so it doesn't matter what happens in the flash series. It's fun to see the different aspects of eobard thawne and since he's a living paradox his storyline isn't a singular concrete variable
Now this thawne is who should've done the whole Reverse Flashpoint thing. Bc seeing Wells Thawne actor with Iris' actor made me SUPER uncomfortable bc of the sheer age difference between them
Uncomfortable as it was, it kind of works thematically to demonstrate how grotesque Wellsobard really is, especially the probably rather rapey relationship he must have cultivated with Iris as the secretly malevolent leader of Team Flash. It also shows his man-child streak: he is clearly up in years, and yet he is delighting in this bizarrely childish game of pretending to be the Flash, like a kid playing dress-up.
I think seeing a rich older man with a much younger beautiful wife is more fact than fiction if you really start to think about it... though I'm not calling Iris' character a golddigger in that scenario either
Leschter isn't exactly young, hes just younger looking. Also Cavanagh has been paired with multiple younger women over the series. His wife in S1, tracy brant was quite a bit younger than him , there were scenes of HR hitting on Caitlin, Irene was quite a lot younger than Sherloque, its just cus we're used to seeing iris with barry.
@bobb Not inherently but they make it a part of politics, and actually yes they do after season 3 is when they heavily started focusing on her and her relationship. I could care less if they are straight honestly I don’t care at all I just want them to focus on the story rather than the relationship tying into the story, we all knew she was bi but no one really cared. It’s crazy anytime someone brings up how they focus more on the relationship and sexuality people like you being up straight couples but that isn’t the point I’m making, the point I’m making is they do a shit job at representing said community but people like you get butt hurt when it gets called out.
@bobb Here’s another thing Sarah as a character actually lost a lot of her personality because they put her main character on a relationship, that’s actually an insult to said community because over all your practically saying they need their sexuality or gender to set them aside from others even though their just people isn’t that the point of representation.

Not only does the long story comment confirm he's directly following Armageddon timeline, but Saras follow up we have all the time in the world is a direct echo of Oliver's last words to Felicity in the Arrow finale. This is Earth Prime Thawne back in his original body for whatever reason sans super speed.
This is a remenant of thawne. The version that barry created when he decided to create FP. This thawne helped him restore the timeline and went off to make troubles for legends ( legends s2 ) as his actual version well/thawne was erased due to eddie shooting himself. This version was then killed by black flash but brought back as changed person to protect the fixed point. Now it remains to be seen if this version remains disconnected as RF as we do know that thawne some how survived and made his way to earth X ( put on wells face again or either had 1 remenant on earth x or was it this version of thawne who got free and went to earth x and put on wells face ..) either way it ends up with thawne losing his speed in future. But if this thawne is actually disconnected from present day thawne then he might return as reverse flash.
This the thawne that Barry pulled out of time in Flash Point, he then went onto Legends and was killed again by the Black Flash. Following that, they time wraith's revived him to guard a fixed point.
As Bosnian I have to say that scene was really good, but the real place of murder was near the river(river through Sarajevo), close to the one bridge. Gavrilo Princip hardly was eating and waiting for Ferdinand, actually, he was waiting at the corner and he shot at him and his wife. The whole group was uncovered and arrested. There's no mercy to them. The only guy who was trying to save them is a lawyer Rudolf Zistler. Bosnia and Herzegovina wasn't part of that monarchy. They just should watch over Bosnia and Herzegovina and make peace, not to rule over the Bosnia. The show was really great and I enjoyed it. Gavrilo Princip started the World War I but for me he is our saviour because he was fighting for independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina and thanks to him we have that today.
Not really this Thawne is way before the other Thawne there is no way they can meet unless the current one post Crisis uses enough speed to get to this point and I'm sure the wrath's would stop him if he tried.
You’re right ! This Thawne is the earth1 ! The other on the flash is the earth prime but hasn’t been affected by crisis changes because he was in the negative speed force

Barry, Sara, Kate, J'onn, Kara, Ryan and Lex (The Paragons, transported to the new multiverse from the antimatter universe), Oliver and Felicity (Paradise Dimension/Afterlife, Earth Prime Felicity presumably is on Earth Prime still) and presumably Thawne (Protected from the Crisis by the positive speedforce before it's death and resurrection, Earth Prime Thawne currently incarcerated after Armageddon) Note: This list excludes Old Gods, New Gods and other devine beings (Spectre and Oliver are separate entities)
Thats the time remnant that which Ray Palmer explained it in old season 2, after flashpoint & the start & end of season 2 that which he was killed by the black flash till the time wraith gave him another chance by being a fixed point agent that which restored time remnant Thawn explained to Sara at the bar in 1914.

agreed, i stopped by season 3 when they assassinated the characters. Remember how self respecting and smart Ray was on Arrow? When Felicity lied to him, he kicked her out. Jump to Legends where he ended up being a grinning idiot and punch line for every bad joke.
