I left Australia Permanently on 29th April and returned to India. The reason for return was career growth , got job in Delhi (30 % tax bracket salary). Even after earning PhD in Australia it was difficult to get a job in the field and need to rely on survival low paying work. Did not want to damage my career further.
Hi, I live in Adelaide, owned a house and kids are getting good education. Health care is excellent here: I work in health sector, n know how much efforts we put to give get experience to patients in public sector. I am working in public sector right from first Day of arrival. I have arrived o In August 2021. We are happy what australia offered to us in short periods of time. The core of the text, do your research well, secure a job before you land n give your 1000%,.
I knew her experience was going to be before it even started, GTA + Centennial + 8 months course. Education consultants sell this diploma mill. Had she been in a Masters, in a good university with a co-op program, and outside of GTA, things might have been a little different.
I am Indian racially but a Westerner culturally. My family have lived in the West for hundreds of years. What Indians dont realise about the West is that it is a devastatingly isolated society with none of the support India has from the community. If you can retain that cultural heritage even as you get richer, India will be paradise, AGAIN.
I live I'm Australia but my headquarter is india, it gives me strength to be rooted, Australia is same as Canada, houses are way way expensive plus point is good weather , rest I moved to india in 2023 , I was lucky I invested 6 crores in india buying flats , now my monthly income is around 3 lakh I am living a very very happy life here, from punjab I visit himachal almost 3 times a month ,Thank God
Haha , Australia is in East of India . So East is not good and west is not good ? Go East or west and bring money from them and live in middle and thank fake Indian God ?
@@ghaarvyisthebest7874 I know enough about myself though I have never been to India to know we are a highly advanced peoples. That is why they came looking for India from medieval Post Spanish Caliphate Europe. The Turks told the Europeans just how advanced we were...and peaceable. The Europeans did NOT go looking for China, Japan, America or anywhere else, they came looking for INDIA!! Consider the implications of that. Our role as Indians is to elevate our civilisation as it is worth the effort.
@@ghaarvyisthebest7874 And I think the Chinese know we are the fabled Shangri La and will do anything to seize that from us. Lol. I intend to delve into ancient Vedism as the clues lie there as to WHAT we really are.
This girl is so sorted … wish I had so much clarity when i was her age .. in a few years after returning back to india she will be so much more skilled and in a much better career with a much better lifestyle
Well, it's all thanks to Canada if she could even open and operate a business here in India.. be grateful or else come back here to India if you want to face reality..
@@pannu679 She did her MBA from NMIMS , which is considered one of the better MBA schools in Mumbai and you can clearly see that her communication skills are good plus she already has some experience in Marketing . Based on her interview its clear that she has figured out her career path in Mumbai and not so much in Canada. I guess she is not looking to open a business but just a good paying corporate job in Marketing , which should not be difficult to find in Mumbai.. Not everyone wants to go through the immigrant grinding experience and for a lot of people once they succeed in western countries and then they have second thoughts whether they wasted their time by going through the grind . I think she has figured out what she wants to do , just waiting for the opportunity which is a great thing for a young person to have
I think we must thank to the culture we grew up to take sorted decisions. Even in my school n college I was very much sorted. Worked in US and after marriage took certain steps to leave US and go back home country, but not happened the way she decided. It happened other way they forced him to leave US and TC of his mom. But unfortunately she keep coming to US in her 70s to her daughter place, as she loved this lifestyle. But when I look life future stand point of view, still India is better. We come here to US for our holidays n enjoy, Coz in your old age there is no answers for do you still want to do lawn moving? Ice clearing, self driving for hospitals, there is absolutely no one around in your oldest age. Considering home takers in US during old age, still do they do the same justice what Indian people (maid/helpers) do? These are deep, but somewhere it’s gonna be difficult decision at the moment, but he is earning much way better than any country offers, with good position in corporate… Only in the mode of earning lot of money, we r loosing out our precious life. We can’t run our life as “Machine”!
How long have you lived in Canada. Let me tell you my story. I consider Canada my adapted mother, and she took such a good care of me and I was a decent adapted son. I came to Canada with my mom and dad. We picked berries in the summer and after summer I went to school and parents collected UI. I studied to be an engineer and now retired and mom&dad have passed. There is no place or people like Canada it is a heaven on earth but you have to work hard to get there.
Centennial college is not an accurate representative for Canadian education system. It's like saying someone went to India and studied in Kanpur University. India also has IITs and IIMs. I know that she did not generalize but the host was trying to put words in her mouth. There are good and bad educational institutions in both India and Canada. It's depends on your exsiting skills and where you get an admit from.
4.24 lakhs canadian cotizen already left in 2023 and reverse migration will increase exponentially.....1 year growth of INDIA = 7 year growth in canada as per gdp....invest and grow exponentially
@@AmitKumar-um4cm bro 6ixbuzz tv shared it on their pages.....and my friend is indian ambassador in seattle.....he says the same.....on an average 3 indians are dying per day in canada because of stress/loneliness/financial problem/no jobs/drugs/suicide.
@@AmitKumar-um4cm and also Oecd and imf states that canada will be the worst performing economy till 2060. Factors - $48 billion disinvestment in 2023 , $16 billion bankruptcy. In January only , 800 companies got backrupt....google it. No one is ready to invest in this dying economy. Future of canada is gloomy. Thats why people are moving back to home countries.
Genuine, smart kid but two wrong decisions - marketing course and community college. It's not a case of reverse migration but landing in the wrong situation. However, she learned from her experience and now taking a corrective action. Community colleges are for profit and don't offer the same level as university education. Moreover, NMIMS in India has better credentials and offers quality education, especially since their MBA program is well recognized. This interview didn't add any value as the interviewer did not do his homework.
No matter how much "thorough research " one does from back home, the reality that hits anybody once they land here is going to be different. For many students getting a PR will be a priority but for a few lucky ones like her, it's not. The grass is always greener on the other side.
Canadian education has lower levels than what it is in India. Under privileged parents should think twice before sending their children to Canada. Everything that glitters it is not gold. Also, even after the research, everything what you see on Google, don’t believe. It is not like India at as we take India for granted so when you come here then only u realize how better India is terms of education but unfortunately our own country people sometimes don’t get that.
I think going to top tier universities can help one. Just look at the top 3-5 MBAs employment reports. People are making 100K+ post MBA. I think one should only go to Canada if one gets into the best universities only such as University of Toronto, McGill, Queen's, etc.
If Amisha had a bachelor degree from India, why did she join Centennial College for Marketing Management ? It is a just community college . She should have tried to get admission to any of several universities in Canada that offer MBA . It is futile to complain about the quality of education in a community college because educational expectation are low for these colleges . And it is quite laughable to say Canadian education is worse than Indian education. I am sorry , but the interviewer should get his head examined for saying so or at least implying that. But one has to compare apples to apples. At the school level, most Indians go to private schools in India whereas most students in Canada go to public school or in other words , government or municipal schools . So there is no comparison there . And, secondly, even the lower rated universities in Canada are superior to most universities in India . I have gone through both the Indian and North American post secondary university education myself so i have some idea.. Community colleges such as Centennial are meant for Canadian students who are not good enough for Canadian university but still need more than a high school diploma.
She’s an average student in India, either the cost of the Unis’s were much or she didn’t get accepted in her choices of application. She should have chosen tier 2-3 unis for her program.
It's actually ok in your case.... you have a decent economic background and there's nothing wrong in going back to India considering your family and much better comfort zone as well as possibly in career wise too . Although जीवन यापन में संघर्ष तो लगा ही रहता है। I hope humara bhi zaldi India vapas aana ka number laga (5.5) year in Canada and counting.
44:27: what she is saying is that, for her there are better career prospects in india and there is no stress on her to provide for family and so she is choosing to leave … for a person from a pind in punjab , there are no whote collar jobs waiting in india and a truck driver job in canada is much better .. basically, canada is good for poor indian immigrants as their life sucks in india too , but for kids from upper middle class families , Canada as of today provides nothing
This is the most sensible comment I've seen on this topic. Instead of moving from Indian villages, to Indian cities, this is a better option. But from Indian cities to here has its pros and cons. If you can manage with a work from home in India, it's awesome in India. Both cities and villages.
She is extremely mature even through the host was trying to find an opportunity to blame Canada. She was great and got out of the situation. I am sad that a smart person like her is leaving. India is doing great and I am sure she will be awesome in India. Best of luck but I feel a lot of immigrants are being mistreated as they do not get the jobs that they should get based on their experience.
When you come with go & see attitude to any country things rarely happen right . I came with family and young kids , went through the grind and normally you make it well to the other side .
@@punitssaraf you are right India pulls you back emotionally like nothing else , when I go back to India to catch up with my college friends almost 11 of them , most have their kids abroad and parents are very happy about it so not much has changed , Canada seems to be not preferred choice. And you may have 10 million dollar home in Delhi but you still open gate and walk into most polluted city in the world so I don’t blame young kids moving out .
@@rajarora2097 - Its okay, I just feel sorry for 2nd and 3rd generation kids abroad. Barely any connection to the roots, they are called ABCD’s for a reason. I have lived in the states for over 8 years so I can say from observation a lot of these kids you speak about have severe identity crisis. All the happiness is just temporary, you can choose to be happy where you want. Pollution, overcrowded cities, cleanliness has got nothing to do with it if you ask me.
In Canada or any developed country, it’s hard in the beginning because we start from 0, no family home-property or support, we have to work hard, after covid things are not same, recession too, it will be better next year, in America you get paid more than Canada. If you think India is better, plan to move there, you have family too, we should live happy life, live where you feel better.
Namasthê. You said it correctly. The people who come to Canada think there is Milk and Honey flowing freely and the roads are paved of Gold. Silly idiots. Whoever wants to leave Canada are most welcome. Pranâms.
This lady has no PR. How can she reverse migrate? You need to be a PR holder or citizen to reverse migrate. Did your immigration consultant advice you on that?
@@varunamjiya2612 Not always. Traditionally Canada considered anybody landed in Canada as immigrants. There is even a term called "landed immigrant". Even a visitor was originally deemed as landed immigrant. Before 1974 you can just fly in from India and apply for immigrant status. Many of my friends came in that way.
@@lakeofbays1622 if anyone landed in Canada is considered as Immigrant then the girl in the interview was also an immigrant. And her back to India journey should be considered as reverse immigration even if she does not have PR or Citizenship.
I don't understand people why complain after reaching Canada. Canada never went knocking on people's doors to apply for a visa. Let people who wanna leave, just go.. Why whine about it?
@@ghaarvyisthebest7874by that logic, it wouldn't make sense to me as it's not a movie ticket price and effort that is involved in migrating to a different country. You showed your maturity with that reply 😂
I feel like this is soley her perception and she's adamant and prefers marketing only and compares that to India. She also says that Finance field is doing very well in Canada. So, I think Canada is a country where you might have to change your field depending on what is in demand. It is a country where in demand jobs change season to season and is quite volatile in that aspect. If you look at a field like IT you will thrive in any country because basically you do the same thing regardless India, Canada or USA. I guess the whole take from this interview is select the country based on opportunities you may have in your field, do some research and if you are moving to a new country you might have to move out from your field for sometime so be ready for it.
She's so level headed. Sorry it did not work out for you. It has gotten worse in last 3 years. Best wishes. These experiences would turn into a more resilient professional. :)
The Richer and more pampered one is from back home, he/she faces more difficulty moving abroad. I moved to Canada 10 years ago from Punjab as a student and Love Canada. Canada is Home.
Distant lands charm to the view. Every thing is not hunky dory in western world. Indian education system is now at par if not better. If one wants to cherish his or her dreams and has the grit, can do so in India as well with better skillset rather than going overseas for greener pastures and finally end up in an unwanted and unexpected situation. INTERNET IS WITHIN YOUR ACCESS, THEREFORE, DO THOROUGH AND PROPER RESEARCH BEFORE GETTING ENAMOURED BY EXAGERATED WESTERN LIFESTYLE AND THEN LATER ON CURSING SELF FOR BLUNDER.
Now that gap between India and developed nations has fallen. That means the developed nations didn’t grow enough to absorb the migrants or ensuring promising future for everyone. Good thing for India. No matter of proud if you are a coming from other countries to India.
In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world. There are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions, welfare, unemployment benefits, disability benefits and the numerous other programs, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia. Multiculturalism destroys the fabric and identity of a country. Socialism bankrupts a country.
Usually, I don't spend much time on RU-vid. in Australia, I've been assisting international students for the past four years. This interview is one of the best I've come across. The Girl is incredibly poised, likely due to her experiences abroad shaping her balanced perspective. She articulates her points calmly and sensibly, avoiding aggression. It's a valuable video that everyone should watch and learn from. I wish her the best as India's prospects are promising, especially in the coming decade. Her decision to return home for a better life is commendable. For those considering Canada or Australia, heed her advice and do thorough research. Overall, a fantastic interview.
Puppy mill 4-8 month diploma victim ? The gov should clean up this racket refund these students on their way back via fining the folks on the gravy train ? lol
Don't take otherwise but for viewers I am adding this, so they can avoid this common mistake. College admission has short duration courses which they call certification courses or diplomas. Again as you said there was no one to guide you properly. It was May be a fast track diploma kind of certification to get PR. College education is supposed to be intermediate before university. Degrees allotted by universities and not by colleges. University degrees always have two or more years of duration. Canada isn't going to decline admission to someone who already has PG degree but still want to downgrade and enroll in college. Anyway it's helping the Canadian economy. However again this is not about you, please don't take it upon yourself, but some people who are only interested in PR would do that one year and call it a PG degree just to boast back in India. It's a win win for them and Canada too.
Not sure why the interviewer is instigating her to speak badly about the education system in Canada. Yes it might not be the toughest or the most modern, but you could discuss ways to improve it and make it better. There are a lot of positives as well with universities in Canada where in you can do work placements during your studies while studying which he conveniently didn't mention.
There are so many red flags here - 1. The girl has done BBA from NMIMS (a reputed institution in Mumbai) and then takes admission in a PG course from "Centinial College" in Marketing Management - Should have researched a bit more than just relying on the so called education consultant - I am sure with Good MBA course from Top 5 universities or Masters in Marketing from a University her experience would have been a different (She said so - maybe parents have too much money or just don't care - I can't think of a middle class parents in India who are so indifferent about their child's future) 2. Centinial has a good reputation 😂 if you go by counsellor(s) - It's an open secret that these so called "Colleges" in Canada pay commission to these self proclaimed education counsellors... That's why research on your own is so important 3. After such a garbage course you can't expect a good placement when there are 100s if not 1000s of students competing with you for a position with better credentials (from Top 5 Universities in Canada) 4. If you live in GTA (especially Brampton or Scarborough or other shady downtown areas), you need to aware of your surroundings all the times. It's notorious, dangerous at certain times of the day and it's again another open secret (her friend who lived in the city for 5-10 years should have pointed that out to her). This is true not just for Toronto but for any major city in North America. Anyways that's not end of the life... Every experience is a learning experience. You seems to be matured and have noted the takeaways. All the best for the future!
@@Videoorchard For any large North American City - Avoid areas which are not crowded after dark (Areas such as downtown core which gets empty after office hours, Parks & Trails which are used by drug addicts/ homeless people after dark for illicit activities, if you can afford try & avoid public transport at late hours (alternative is Ride sharing like Uber or owning a vehicle), there are designated "Notorious" neighbourhoods in each city which people living in those cities know for sure (mostly ghettos, neighbourhood with low income government housing, shelter homes, safe injection sites (specific to Canada)). Basically, use your common sense & be aware of your surroundings all the time... For example, I know Mumbai is a safe city but that doesn't mean I should go to Dharavi slum areas at 2 a.m. just for an adventure or take a walk in/around Sion Fort / Old, Unused mill compounds at night. Common sense is rare these days but it can save your life ;)
If a person as well off as her can get screwed like this, imagine students coming from rural India, thinking that Canada is some sort of paradise, who have nothing, just a head full of dreams and huge loans, what will happen to them? I can't believe she fell for even the consultants's trap. P.G Diploma? 8 months course? I mean what the hell was she thinking?
I think the interview is not represented a good podcast because of his non professional way of choosing questions. Please keep in mind those feedback for future interviews.
The gun violence in various cities in Ontario And British Columbia is for real, alongwith the soaring rents in Canada, all these things are for real, joblessness in Ontario,as i am facing as of now since 2months is FOR REAL,CAN'T DENY ALL THESE THINGS,FACE IT!!
Atleast you don't have to keep on cleaning litters and shit of these white tits after you graduate, you start working at respectable and legit positions related to your own field of education back in India(with respect to safety,i will admit QC is safer than ON and BC,but yeah, the fact still remains, that there ARE problems in Canada, you cannot stay blindfolded of these problems! In Canada, can't guarantee when you'll start growing professionally!
This is not a proper information. Go Cabada for a good educational programs from a Public University and you can achieve a good career. Colleges are selling diplomas just for their business. It's not worth to go in colleges now.
Just some feedback for the host. When you use the word "podcast" it means a discussion, not an interview. This was an interview not a podcast. You have been living in Canada for a long time, your insights could also be interesting to the listeneres. So, instead of using direct questions like "Did you have a cultural shock?", you could first give your stories and opinions without taking too long and then let the guest share their experience. This is how podcasts and interviews are different. You shouldn't put the entire onus of talking on the guest. This is also what leads to good long fun discussions because the guest is not just answering your questions like an interview but rather engaging in a discussion with you. For example, you might start off with your own opinion, there is a good chance that the guest might disagree with you on something. This can then sprout into a fun discussion. This one tip will make your life as a podcaster much easier. The podcast is always about the guest "and" the host, don't be afraid to be just as much a presence as the guest.
This interviewer kids are born here off course they will like everything here from India but the truth is the level of education is very low compared to India.
Stop relying on education consultants. They've vested interest. You've got the whole damn internet at your fingertips. Figure things on your own. Centennial is just a step above strip mall diploma colleges.
I believe she is too young and naive and she does not know what she's talking about. No amount of research will help you when you face the harsh reality. She has her head in the clouds.
Why this anchor is targeting small villages students, y can't village people can get more opportunities, he thinks only people from metro cities should come to canada.he is racist and very arrogant, very negative, He himself should leave Canada
I think that people with good qualifications/good jobs in India find it difficult to adapt to the working class lifestyle that is part of the initial few years after immigration. Nobody is right or wrong, but it depends on ones priorities.
I keep hearing this a lot . So hard work means a well qualified master degree holder should work in tim Hortons before getting a remotely relevant job? Sir for your kind information even Canadians are leaving Canada. Yes what you are saying is true but that's everywhere,in India an MBBS will never drive a cab. happy for u that u were successful (m assuming),but not everyone is that fortunate (even after hardwork). Yes quality of life is still better in Canada (air quality, infrastructure, literacy) but fact is Canada is no where comparable to other G7 countries. But yes nobody is forcing anyone to come to Canada ,it's peoples choice,my objection is with wrong portrayal of Canada as some kind of perfection.
Yes guys pleae don't come. You won't save anything and life is worst than a bihari majdoor. 5 din purana khana, 4 lokaan naal room ch ghus ke rehna etc etc. not worth it
Bilkul sahi kiha , main canada ch 4 saal to reh riha haan koyi soch v nhi sakda ki kinna , kinna lokan naal tuhanu rehna pai sakda eh sab to jada scary part a ... so my advice is to all indian people. INDIA is the best country man don't leave your country

Western system, American in particular (North American) works based on work experience and skills you acquire. Leave this books and syllabus in Delhi where ppl hire u based on ur percentage n university you studied it not the actual skill. You took 8 months certificate program, what do you expect from it, a PhD level ? When u had Bachelors, why didn’t you take up a good job opportunity after graduation if you already studied MBA level in your Bachelors! Then after gaining work experience you could go abroad n probably do Masters at quality institution not some bloody institute who’s sole existence is based on international students for some 8 months program of study. God bless you n wish you luck for your future.
