What you are saying is I need to buy the one that is easiest to set up. I should not buy the one that filters the water better.

A regular 3-stage filter is better for most people because it keeps the minerals. If your water is drinkable but you just want it extra clean, then get a regular filter like this one here. RO is only for if your water is really bad. I have a well where the water is full of iron and far too much dissolved solids. RO is just about my only option, but that is rare. Most people should not be using RO, but if you need it, you need it.

RO water is not safe for human consumption that's the main point. Drinking RO causes dehydration and put strains on internal organs.Whomever allowed to sell RO should be prosecuted

I have RO and your clearly not understanding what it does... and fyi my water bill has stayed the same since i got it.

Thanks for reaching out! While there are lots of different types of reverse osmosis systems, they all create wastewater. Some are more efficient than others, but generally speaking they waste about 4 gallons of water to create just 1 gallon of clean water. Our filtration technology does not waste any water whatsoever while getting similar or better removal rates.

He was correct that RO systems use 3x the water. You just don't use enough water to notice.

@@rsilvers129 The RO with it's own tap, will only use 3x drinking water, which must be less than 1% of most households water usage. When you think about it, the filters used on the RO system, could be used without the membrane and tank, to do exactly what the rival system does. I cannot imagine what is in Clearly Filtered's 3 filters, that is different to the 3 filters on the RO unit.

With this hooked to my kitchen faucet, I will be washing dishes and vegetables with filtered water. Isn't this wasteful? And filters will wear down much sooner

The Under-the-Sink filter hooks up directly to your cold line, so it will be filtering cold water only. If you're washing dishes or vegetables in warm or hot water, it will not go through the filter.

@@clearlyfiltered vegetables are usually washed with cold water, and dishes is a mix. That water usage far more exceed the drinking water. So your filters are working 90% of the time on water that doesn't need filtering. Not being selective is a poor design.

@@b3arwithm3 I agree with this. Also, I am concerned about contaminants from the dirty dish water being "splashed" on the faucet, due to this I would need to install a secondary dispenser.

Your prices for replacements are a bit ridiculous don't ya think?
@clearlyfiltered
@clearlyfiltered 4 года назад
Hi there, Chris! They're certainly not cheap but with the longevity and high performance that they offer, the price is actually quite reasonable. They typically only need to be replaced once a year and they remove over 230 contaminants from your tap water. At a price of $400 for a one-time order or $350 with our free subscription, you could pay as little as $29 per month for clean and safe water directly from your faucet!

@Peter Reynolds Glyphosate is really nasty stuff. We're so glad to hear you find as much value in removing it as we do!
