I clicked on this out of curiosity to see the reverse stenciling, but I have to say that I stayed because I was absolutely entranced by the actual artwork. This came out so so cool! And I love that you had the finished piece up in the corner so that I could watch as you built up the colors - I kept looking back and forth between the two, seeing the moment when this or that bit showed up. New subscriber!
Awesome! Thank you! I do the same thing (looking back and forth at the finished vs in progress) when i watch other painters! Im glad you find it useful too ☺️
Lori peace, I was going to say the exact same thing! Instead, I will be lazy and just like your comment. Now, where’s my water color paper and stencils??? ☺️
So beautiful and relaxing. I just love this and I will give it a try. I'm a 72 year old art newbie so I'm going to have fun playing with this one 😉. Thank you 😍
This is an excellent exercise for generating appreciation of pure creativity. No drawing skills necessary, no expected outcome, just creativity for its own sake. Thank you for this video! :)
That is beautiful and so relaxing to watch. I can't wait to give it a try. Neurographic Art is savibg my sanity right now. It works and you made it BEAUTIFUL.
It's all so good but that walnut ink does wonders when it is made wet near the end. Never thought semi-permanent ink would be useful but there you go. And the enhanced colours at the end are just wow! A gorgeous result and an absolute pleasure to watch it all come together. Thank you so much!
It was so lovely to see the final result against the actual process of it being made as I could see the development better. Such an inspirational piece. Thank you for sharing
This piece is fabulous Krista! I highly recommend anyone reading this to learn more about neurographica. There a lots of videos about it. I used neurographica to recover from the grief of losing our dear kitty Peaches in 2021. It helped me tremendously. It’s a very therapeutic practice. Blessings to you!💗Rita
Thank you! This looks like a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I’ve recently had a bit of a painting block, and I think this might be the cure. I love drawing with pen and ink.
Such a beautiful piece. I like the reverse stenciling. Your paper holds up to water well. My paper crumbles after so much water. Thanks for showing us how to do this. Have a nice day.😊
@@machelleshappyhobbies4977 Check that your watercolor paper is 140# cotton. Although this artist is using a lot of water, she doesn’t seem handling it roughly. 140# 100% cotton will stand up to a lot. Happy Painting.
Thank you so much for videotaping this and posting it. I am definitely going to do this. I've done neurographics, but I also like how you use the stencils in the background I think it gives a lot more depth. Very, very beautiful work.
Thank you so much for sharing. I had bought many stencils and was trying to think of ways I could use them now that I have started watercolour painting.. love your work.
I love the layering of visual information! The textures are gorgeous! I would use my Indian ink pens they are totally water resistant, so I can't moosh them out. This is absolutely fabulous!
@@KristaRobertsonArt I just did some paintings I really love after learning from this video! So thank you! It’s really great to practice after a video like this to really learn. Now I want to get some separating non waterproof inks as I don’t have the lammy or ink like that, so I didn’t use that part of this video yet…
The inks can be a bit tricky to find the right level of ‘dissolubility’. I have a purple that dissolves way too easily. The noodlers walnut color is called a ‘semi waterproof’ ink and i really like its properties, and its lightfastness seems decent.
Wow. That is beautiful Krista. I can't wait to try this. I felt my neuro art needed something new. Thank you for sharing your technique. I really appreciate it.
I love this. My mind is going round in circles wondering how I could create a similar effect on chalk painted furniture. I particularly loved the reverse stenciling
This is so beautiful! It was very relaxing watching you create this and so gratifying watching you peel off the tape at the end to reveal your masterpiece. Gorgeous!
I stumbled on to this and after watch such a fantastic video I went to your page and watched about 6 more. I'm so in love with your style of painting. You a fantastic artist and I love ❤️ your bright colors. I tried to paint something like one of videos by memory 😅. Ok it's not great but several people loved it a lot. Thanks so much.
Wow. First time viewer, new subbie. I am Godsmacked! This was so enjoyable to watch. I kept thinking, I wonder if I can do that. I like neurographic parts you added. I've never seen the ink part before. Loved ever minute. TFS and inspiring ❤Nebraska
