Trinity soul had a great potential, a plot involving snatching of others 'persona', was a great idea in my opinion, unfortunately they didnt use it in the best form, but it was a good try
@@Uroboro_Djinn I was thinking they could keep a lot of the stuff of trinity soul, like how persona users are said to not be adults but they discover through a conspiracy theory it's a lie, and test it with Junpei summoning his persona without an issue, and him not realising he wasn't supposed to do that
You know, as much as everyone hates Trinity Soul (I've never seen it, even though I'm a huge persona and smt fan, so I can't make a judgement), but what I do love, is the music. It's actually very good, at least, I think so.
You aren't missing anything. I powered through about half of it before I gave up. Nothing interesting happens, the persona battles aren't interesting, the story is all over the fucking place... I love the shit out of the Persona games, but this anime is just objectively not good.
Trinity Soul isn't bad, it's just not incredible, per se. Nothing fancy and very serviceable. That's it. It has "Persona" in the title, but honestly, unless it was a game, its plot could never live up to what "Persona" entails: A story told in a day-by-day, character-driven arcs that develop over time, leading to internal evolution and external realization, all while unraveling contextual and overarching struggles for a big payoff near the end. Instead, we get a bunch of one-and-done arcs, and the ones that WEREN'T one-and-done weren't....great? They were OK, I guess? The overarching "antagonists/menace" are...fine? Kinda? The story is surprisingly good, but takes TOO long for that "Oh, SHIT!" or "AHA!" moment to manifest that definitely makes one feel the wait wasn't worth THAT. So yeah, if it simply went by another name and fixed its pacing/character use(one character in particular eats up screen time, but isn't developed NEARLY as much), it would be better. My opinion is that if you have the time, go for it. It has some nice stories to tell; just don't expect a flawless masterpiece, and you're good.
Honestly, I'll still keep trinity soul in mind as part of my headcanon (I know Atlus said it wasn't canon and can be called non-canon due to the persona rules established which can be ignored and treated like a conspiracy theory intentionally set-up in order to prevent problematic persona users)
If they made the anime's theres no question i would watch them. I love persona for what it is:deep, philosophical, dramatic, dark, mysteryious and they somehow manage to work in some kick ass action that doesnt take away from the feel of the story.
@@elcalabozodelandroide2 it’s not centered around romance though, you can play the entire game without going romance and romance plays no part into the main plot
@@tadaima47 half of the main cast story in p4 is base around romantic feelings towrds each other. half of *the* cast of persona 5 is romance center. and you have the answer for p3.
@@elcalabozodelandroide2 persona 3, understandable, persona 4 has two characters where romance is related to the plot and not change without romance and persona 5 only has one character, romance barely effects the plot of the game and even including that, there aren't even harems unless you want there to be. only in persona 3 is it necessary to have a harem to be strong which is the only one you can make a point for.
@@tadaima47 persona 4 main cast (family excluded) are 5 people and a bear; 1 is a simp , 2 of them loved each other , 1 is your active simp , and the remaining 2 loved each other aswell. i', not neccesary saying that the whole game is an excuse to make ships and become popular , but i'm saying the main cast is. persona 5 has too many girls whose only kick in the game is being your possible gf. their stories are great but the most valuable phase of their SL are the romance option for both the marketing and the reception of fans , and the most substancial phase of those social links for the player altho different in amount still has ohya , chihaya , haru and futaba remain as gf first valuable asset in battle second. that's why everyone though sae would had a romance option at first
Trinity soul was kind of the "Final Fantasy 7: Advent children" of Persona 3, in my opinion. However, less so in the way that it's much more loosely based off Persona 3. Half the time I struggled to see what exactly was going on. However, I really like trinity soul, it's worth a watch :) But you're right, I think if a Persona 3 anime was done right, it would be better.
Yea the persona 4 anime is sweet, personally i just got P3 and im playing it now...even just beginning it seems like its gonna be more epic than P4 if thats even possible o.0....such a perfect rpg series in every way.
@CamiFisher I'm afraid not =/ i used to be the same with facebook, but it helps keep in touch with people so it is helpful in it's own ways, it's an extremely friendly group aswell, so i'm happy to be an admin for it =]
I'm not so sure since I honestly like Trinity Soul better than Persona 4 the Animation. Plus I'm not sure how well Tartarus would work out in an anime adaptation. Would still love to see a P3 anime though.
@@somaoni8806 Reply to 4 year old comment, yeah, but there was some battles in TS (Like Cain vs Utnapishtim, Guukyou vs Abel and some other ones too, they're short, but hey, they happened)
Just a theory, teenagers have better tendencies of exploring many aspects of relationships thus creating many personas. Adults begin to be more closed dealing with harsher realities.
this song is awsome and so is persona trinity soul. but i think that if they made an anime for person 3 it would probably be better than trinity soul. in fact they should make adaptations of all the persona games.
People keep forget this takes place 10 years after Persona 3 (meaning well after Persona 4 or 5) Meaning stuff could had changed during this time period.
Bryan Cook I think they said they take place in another world kind of like how Persona 3 Portable FeMC and Eternal Punishment take place in another world
Well I don't know if played Persona 2 Innocent Sin or not (and quite honestly it has been an while since I finished the game) but in the end of Persona 2 Innocent Sin Philemon takes Tatsuya to the "other side" that other side being were Eternal Punishment takes place.I guess you can say the timeline could take place like this- P1>P2IS>P3P>Trinity Soul since the Philemon splits the universes PQ(takes place between P3&4) P2EP>P3FES>^P4>P4A>P4AU>P4G(epilogue)>P4D>P5 "According to the official Persona 3 Portable fanbook, Trinity Soul is considered to be a alternative entry in the series"-Trinity Soul Wikipedia page "Persona trinity soul is a sequel to Persona 3 and takes place ten years afterwards in a parallel universe."-Trinity Soul Megami Tensei wikia page This is personally How I like to think how the timeline is like though you could say is probably and most likely incorrect.
sourmilkandcereal Not to be rude but yeah. Persona 1 would occur in both timelines, for one. We don't know if the world of IS ever does sort itself out. Trinity Soul's universe is very much independent of P3P, and they're both independent of IS. Plus, DAN is before P4G's epilogue, and original P4 is no longer in the canon.
I liked it, but it had too many problems. If he saw Igor, and the next thing he knew, he was at his house, he would have blacked out the entire time- I know it was meant to be confusing, but it just.. It made too little sense.
@darkslayerryu there is a group on face book that wants the exact same thing, you should add them, and invite your friends to it aswell, i'm one of the admins for it, but the more the better really =] i'll send you a message with a link =]
