The Devil was also touched by Islam's message and became a muslim and commands MuhamMAD to do good: Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Each one of you has a devil-companion from the jinn over him.” They said, “Even you, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Even me, yet Allah helped me against him until he embraced Islam. He does not order me to do anything but good.” (Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2814 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim) ................ Sunan an-Nasa'i 3960 It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Al-Walid bin 'Ubadah bin As-Samit that 'Aishah said: "I looked for the Messenger of Allah and I put my hand on his hair." He said: "Your Shaitan has come to you." I said: "Don't you have a Shaitan?" He said: "Yes, but Allah helped me with him, so he submitted."

I reverted to Islam after studying it for about two years. Once I took my Shahada I didn’t plan on wearing hijab because I thought “Allah is forgiving he knows my heart and so on like many western muslima influencers”. I was attached to my beauty because in America I am the beauty standard and I held it dear to my identity I knew I wouldn’t be able to benefit from it like I always have in every aspect of my life honestly. After taking Shahada I immediately started wearing hijab I met two beautiful sisters who were hijabis’ and they were the most beautiful women inside and out Alhamdulillah they gave me confidence to wear hijab. I’m so grateful to Allah for placing these women in my life around that time. I’ll say this once you stop letting outside influence dictate whether or not you follow Allahs teaching you will truly see how your life changes for the better instantly. Allah knows how difficult it is for us to wear hijab and it truly gets you closer to him than before. Just recently I was contemplating whether I was going to wear hijab to my interview here in the US because I’ve never been through something like this and Alhamdulillah I made dua Allah guided me to keep in on no matter what and Alhamdulillah I got the job! It made me gain trust in Allah and I made dua for him to make it easy for me. Allah knows best and if he is requiring it for us muslimas to wear hijab that should be enough of a reason to wear it proudly. Wearing hijab for me is like wearing a crown that represents Islam. I also am a revert first in my family lineage living in a metropolitan city in the US. Ladies make it a priority and make dua that Allah keeps you in the straight path. I don’t get sexually harassed or looked at with list anymore and I’m actually safer than before. I had to develop other qualities besides my beauty that give me confidence such as following sunnah, furthering my education and being a genuinely good person. May Allah guide you sis it’s not as difficult as you think. I overcame the same obstacles you have and if I can do it ANYONE can I say that in the most humble way because I never thought before taking Shahada that I would proudly be a hijabi! You got this ladies!!

I took my Shahada in March of last year. Right before the beginning of Ramadan alhamdulillah! When I was doing my research on Islam, there were a few people who stuck out to me, especially when coming across reverts. Candace is one of them. Her handle being called “The Blonde Muslim” really sticks out. Just like myself, she lives in Southern California. Blind believers looking for CONFIRMATION of their Sect/Firqa beliefs is not the straight path. - please Read the Quran and Verify - instead of promoting Sectarian/Firqa ideology which was written in secondary books 200 years later by the Firqa chiefs- who only claim they are explaining the already ‘EXPLAINED IN DETAIL’ words of the Almighty Allah. //Quran 6. 114 "Then is it other than Allāh I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book EXPLAINED in DETAIL?" And those to whom We gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters. 6.115. And the word of your Lord has been FULFILLED in truth and in justice. NONE CAN ALTER His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.// Here is a wake up call for these Firqa promoters: //Quran 6.159 Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - YOU ARE NOT WITH THEM in anything. Their affair is only to Allāh; then He will inform them about what they used to do.// Stop declaring Halal/Haram with your tongues //Quran 16.116 Do not falsely declare with your tongues, “This is HALAL, and that is HARAM,” ˹only˺ fabricating lies against Allah. Indeed, those who fabricate lies against Allah will never succeed.// Quran is the Furqan meaning the criteria to judge between the right and wrong Quran is a book since the time it was revealed yet Sectarians have written different narratives of how it was compiled. - please read the Ayah/verse 39.23 attentively and you will see. Quran is the ehsan TAFSEER Quran is the ehsan al’Hadith. //Quran 25.33 And they do not come to you with an example [i.e., argument] except that We bring you bil’Haq wa ehsan TAFSEER (the truth and the best explanation).// //Quran 39.23 Allah has revealed the EHSAN AL’HADITH in the FORM of a BOOK, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.// They’re Trying to say that Quran is difficult when it is actually revealed for mankind and the foundation required for the Deen is straightforward yet these preachers have complicated things for the people. //Quran 54.17 And We have indeed made the Qur'an EASY for Zikr (to understand and remember): then is there any that will receive admonition?// Hope that much from the words of Allah is helpful. Unto you is your belief Salaam/Peace

Wow what an amazing story! I am German-Iranian and while my dad is proud to be a Muslim, he never practised. I was always drawn but never fully went in. Iranians have an incredibly strained relationship to Islam, understandably, so now that I am developing my own relationship with it, I am up against a lot of mockery and hostility from my own people who have been robbed of their spirituality by a dictatorship misusing and abusing religion. - I was really touched to hear Candace talk about not being perfect at the beginning. This is my first Ramadan, and I sometimes only manage to fast until 2pm rather than 6, and am drinking water. At first I felt ashamed, but I hope it is still acceptable to God. I am trying. I absolutely love listening to Koran - especially in the morning while seeking connection to God but generally all the time 💕. - Ah, and like many others, I was brought closer to the faith of my roots by October 6, and how the West is aiding and abetting genocide. The situation is wild here in Germany and we "brown people" have been facing crazy amounts of police violence, bullying and media repression as well as threats by ordinary people on rhe street. I always knew the white man hates us (I witnessed my Iranian day's experience). Now I know the depth and the length to which they go to. It would be cynical to say "thank God for October 6 and all that came thereafter" because of the horrible loss of life and dehumanising humiliation of Palestinians. But thank God for October 6 and how the West treated it because it fast-tracked my return to the deen of my ancestors and it invited so many others in. Thanks for this conversation again. 🙏🏽

As an elder woman who left Islam at young age I can confirm that Islam is nothing but a tool of Muhammad to keep his power. Muhammad died out of poison, if he is a prophet hu must’ve to know that coming. One more thing it’s not a peaceful tolerant religion at all the Kaba you’re seeing today is built by destroying more than 300 idols of qureshis, and the black stone one out them clearly idol worshipping. And human evaluation and modern science proves Adam Hawa just a lie cuz they’ve no answer. Better get out it, I don’t care what religion or whatever you want to be just leave the mud hole , I can garentee u will feel much more open minded as a new experience. Good luck, keep questioning the ironies in Islam …

The masjid can be a very lonely and negative place when you don't fit their standards, born muslim or revert. It was only after I fully embraced and accepted that Allah kept me alone so that I would learn and remember that He is the only one I can rely on and turn to, that Allah sent me some good muslim friends. If it is not coming then increase your knowledge and worship, Allah knows and we do not, we could want things that would be bad for us, cause us to fall into error because we are not prepared for it. Allah does not give us what we cannot handle.

Ya akhi that's not how it works that's because the prayer wasn't revealed yet the 5 daily prayers are obligatory on every Muslim and the scholars differ if the one that doesn't pray if his a Muslim or not. Here's the hadith (22987) The covenant between us and them is prayer, so whoever abandons it has disbelieved Narrator: Buraydah bin Al-Haseeb Al-Aslami | The narrator: Ibn Baz Source: Collection of Fatwas of Ibn Baz Page or number: 312/10 | Summary of the hadith’s ruling: Its chain of transmission is authentic Graduation: Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi (2621), Al-Nasa’i (463), Ibn Majah (1079), and Ahmad (22987) It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, to have any choice over their matter. It was the most painful response she could've had. Thankfully, my husband intervened because he could see how emotional it was for me. My dad on the other hand, read the entire Qur'an and we have had some wonderful discussions. I haven't been Muslim long and am definitely struggling with learning Arabic. Islam has given me understanding and an internal peace that I've never experienced before. All praise is to Allah.

You don't have to learn Arabic. You need to learn just enuf to recite the mandatory prayers. The Prophet himself could not read or write Arabic. Most early Muslims could not write Arabic. That did not stop them from learning the Ayah of Quran by heart, by listening and repeating. Take baby steps, you will be fine.

The Islam religion opens rusty hearts in peace, it changes human behavior to mannerisms which radiates enlightenments to humanity. And all creations have its own rights until other’s limit of rights. Islam has logic which indicates good reasonings and they make sense. The Quran gives a lot of hints about science and existence of Allah(God), not everyone understands and sees that, special people able to understand and see them, sister is one of them, who saw the right path. I can tell you, as a born Muslim, the pressure is consent from other Muslims and to be honest it’s very unislamic- they are judgemental, want you to do things the ‘right way’ or else you’re labelled as khuffar. I have had to zone out the noise and focus on myself and Allah only. Allah is the most kind, most merciful and all knowing.. He knows our heart, our intentions. I will never be a perfect Muslim but I love Allah and I will always try to do the right thing. I would say to anyone experiencing Allah’s calling.. but are put off by the Hadith bashers on TikTok /insta who spam and say they are giving ‘advice’ - please delete the app and to block Muslim male podcasters content as it can actually make people feel repelled by Islam. Just focus on doing what you can, integrate small things and don’t make it your whole identity, having other Muslim friends can make it feel quite suffocating so try and maintain a balance in life but always have Allah in your heart.

i can feel this. Im a convert since years. I went to the masjid once and met a very pious woman (around her 50s) there. We chatted and I told her about my hijab struggle. That it's hard to wear it here in East Europe where almost no Muslims live in according to studies 75 % are against having a Muslim neighbour. I literally need to have a roof over my head as a single woman and a job and being publicly Muslim risks both. I told her I've tried wearing it, but took it off 'cause it was hard for me. She then took my hand, pressed it, looked me in the eyes and said "You either wear it or you go to hell." I since quit going to mosque and Muslim gatherings but I practice on my own. The way born Muslims have treated me (also in the search for a husband and the fact Im autistic) has really dragged my mood down.

Islam is understood by Quran,Sunnah Ijma of the salaf رحمه الله and qiyaas anything other than that is to be chucked off. And the first predecessors of the Muhajireen and Ansar, and those who followed them in righteousness, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He prepared for them gardens that flow beneath them. The rivers to abide therein forever. This is the great victory. There's a difference between a minor sin major sin. Every one isn't free from minor sin however not wearing hijab drinking alcohol is a major sin. Secondly any muslim dies upon major sin without repenting is under the will of Allah, Allah will forgive them if he wants or he will punish them however we ask Allah to forgive them and pray for them and we don't say they are from the people of Jannah or Hell we do say they are major sinners on the path of misguidance and they have been threatened with the Hell fire by Allah 3rd all the commands of Allah are binding on every Muslim a Muslim who drinks alcohol knowing it's haram and he knows he has to leave it off then his still a Muslim however if he believes he has a choice or his not binded by Allah and the messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم commands then this is kufr وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ ۗ وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا مُّبِينًا It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, to have any choice over their matter. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed gone clearly astray. Surah Al ahzab 36 Iman is belief in the heart, statement on the tongue and actions on the limbs Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds will have Al jannah firdaus as residence Surah Al Khaf Aya 107 Born Muslims not doing what Allah command isn't a evidence in Islam The command belongs to Allah surah Al Yusuf Aya 40 إِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ if you follow majority of people on earth you will be misguded from the path of Allah Surah Al anaam 116 a Muslim drinking alcohol knowing his wrong and his sinful and his obligated to leave it off then his a sinful Muslim believing he has a choice weather or not to is kufr. It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, to have any choice over their matter. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed clearly gone astray. Surah Al ahzab Aya 36

Alhamdulillah. Such a great discussion. There was such points discussed that hit home with me and helped me articulate, reflect and accept some of the struggles that had been or I had fought with, and for that, Thank you so much and may Allah (SWT) reward you both and guide us all.

When I heard her story I instantly remembered the verse 24:35 in surah alnoor (the light) which one of its interpretations is the two lights of guidance human have in this life .. one is the Fitrah (common sense of the honest heart) and the other is the revelation (Quran and sunnah) she clearly had the first light which led her to the second light may we all be guided to our final destination and meeting Allah in heaven in peace …

ALLAHU AKHBAR. I was born muslim. My sister, I envy you so much - for been chosen and getting hidayah into Islam - for no sins as just been born upon syahadah - for being so strong muslimah as in very difficult ,stressfull and scary surrounding. Remind me how the newly converted sahabahs went thru during early days of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Agree with Candice. The way we deliver a message is as important as the message itself. If Rasulullah (pbuh) was aggressive, mean, impatient, and condescending nobody would even listen to him. Let alone accept the message of Islam. Even the way Rasulullah advised Aisha was gentle, the way he comforted Aisha when she was upset was so sweet also.

I had the experience of having a Jehovah's witness knocked on my door and invited him in. As he bent to take off his shoes, he looked up and noticed the words Mohammed (pbuh) and Allah on the wall of my living room. He quickly put on his shoes and ran out as though he had seen the devil! 😮.

Whoever has said you look like a porn star does not know the first thing about this beautiful religion. I am a male, I was born into a muslim family in a muslim land, and do you know what you look like to me? You look like a muslim sister who I have the utmost respect for… That’s what you look like… Salute sister, we got your back, well probably about 1b/1.5b of us, yet enough of us for you not to worry…

May Allah continue to flood your heart with Iman so strong that nothing can deter your momentum. I also commend you on your perseverance and positive attitude amidst all your trials through this journey of yours. Some kind advice though, please continue to be patient and kind and never break character to those who deny, challenge and insult you. That very response, indeed, is a sign of strength and character that may have an adverse effect and inspire those aforementioned conflicted and ignorant individuals. Keep going you are truly an inspiration to all; Muslims and Non-Muslims alike.

As born Muslims need to make more of an effort to make reverts feel more welcome. For me to meet a revert is revert is special, I feel proud the family is growing and that Islam is so special that even people who haven't grown up in it can see how amazing it is.
