Review: 2006 Pontiac Vibe
In this video I review a 2006 Pontiac Vibe Automatic. This is an ideal daily-driver and family car. Boasting an efficient and reliable 1.8 Liter 4-cylinder engine, it gets you and your family where you need to go. The hatch also provides generous storage space.
Also, this is just like the Toyota Matrix with the GM pontiac badge, and performs similarly to the Toyota Corolla as well.

Pontiac Vibe is one of the best, most underrated cars on the market. You can still get one for under $2,000. It'll last well past 300,000 miles. I love my vibe!

God looking car. After watching this video I plan on getting this car and I'm 31. I owned a 98 Honda Accord and the transmission was trash and the engine blew. Since I now know that Toyota had a hand in building this ( I also own a 05 Avalon ) I WILL purchase this. Even Scotty Kilmer gave this a thumbs up.

I have a 2006 Vibe, just shy of 200,000 miles. All it needs is a new radio(I want blue tooth and/or usb connections) a new paint job (thanks to living in the Midwest with all the salted roads in the winter)and a new "flap door" for the recirculate/outside air flow. Everything else is fine. I put gas in it and do normal replacements (oil, tires, filters and brakes). It's a great car. We're the second owner, first owner only put 33,000 miles on it. We've moved 4 times since owning it and my GOD if you put all the seats down (except for the drivers seat of course) you can haul a ton of stuff. Our last move, we boxed up everything, we got all but 4 boxes inside of it. In totally, it took us 3 trips and the last one trip a truck followed us with the washer/dryer and our bed. Everything else was put into the Vibe.I still get around 30MPG in it. No issues or problems. I'm sad that Toyota stopped making the Matrix/Vibe. In my opinion, it's almost the perfect car.

@@rogerar90 They are great for both. went from Kentucky to Florida and back in mine. never got numb butt, good MPG. and hauling stuff? it's a champ. I've put everything in mine from dressers, deep freezers, moved several times in it. it's a ok price for the miles and awd. just check for accidents/damage, if it was regularly maintained and wasn't some kids Fast and Furious wannabe car.

Thanks for the review. I really want one of these except in AWD. It's a shame the AWD version doesn't have stability control.

depending on your styling preferences, you could also get nearly the same car in a Toyota Matrix

I found a 2006 Vibe w/ 5 speed Manual FWD with 116,000k for $3200 - the stick shift is a little tricky but it was taken care of. Do you think this is a good deal? I'm gojng to have to buy new tires/aligned/balanced and have it tuned up for sure, so after all expenses I'll put just under $4000 - its a Colorado title, clean. I'd appreciate your opinion! Thanks!
@DawnDimension
@DawnDimension 6 лет назад
That is a fair deal. It depends on the condition of the one you are looking at, but I'd say a decent 06' Vibe would be worth around $3,500. Maybe you could haggle down to closer to 3k and mention what it probably needs done to justify the lower price.

@@DawnDimension thank you for your time. Yeah, depending on what the dealers here find at auction tomorrow, this seems the best deal around. Thx again

At 200 k miles, do you need to replace the timing chain for maintaining and how much for that?
@all2funnycomments724
@all2funnycomments724 5 лет назад
Timing chains can last up to 300k miles. You would only replace it if there's damage to the chain.
@mikec8086
@mikec8086 5 лет назад
@@all2funnycomments724 I thought these had a timing belt? I believe it's recommended to at least check the belt/ chain every 90k miles.
@all2funnycomments724
@all2funnycomments724 5 лет назад
It uses a Timing Chain. There's a Serpentine Belt, but don't confused that with a timing belt. Here's a link to Auto Zone for you.www.autozone.com/parts/internal-engine/timing-belt-and-chain/pontiac/vibe/2006
