Review: 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 2.0L Turbo 

This is the one I have been waiting for. I have owned Camaro's all my life (69, 77z, 79z, 80z, 87z, 94) and was seriously considering a Ecoboost Stang. Thought I would wait for the 4 banger Camaro. These things are hitting 5.5 second 0-60 out of the box with an automatic. I am sold. Great review.......appreciate the insight.

I spent 3 days in a 2017 V6 RS and was going to buy it, but at the last minute I decided to drive the turbo, actually two turbos. I am a diehard stick shift guy so I drove that first and was pretty impressed, but I wanted to drive the 8 speed automatic since I had heard so many good things about it. I was by myself so I was able to take them on an extended drive and the 8 speed made it feel like an entirely different car and within 3 miles I knew I was going to buy an automatic. It shifts quick especially in Sport mode and it does an excellent job keeping this engine in its power band. I have read that the stick is a tenth or two quicker to 60, but I can promise you in real world driving the guy in the auto will take the win.

Everyone keeps saying get the SS model......we get it, SS=V8 which also equals more power! That would be great if it wasn't an additional $10k!

nice review i have a pontiac g8 gt and i was thinking about getting camaro ss but i recently saw a bone stock camaro for 22k at my local chevy dealer and I'm hugely considering now.

The swoosh is coming from the air-intake if I am not mistaken. I know it is not the exhaust. Still really great review. I purchased one but I made the error of getting the auto....which sucks if you like a stick like me.

Been wanting the 4cyl manual camaro for a while. I need it mostly for fuel economy and I drive up a 6% grade 7 mile hill on the fwy. Will it go up the hill without reviving it to high. Is there enough low end torque? I drive a cummins and I go up the hill at 1500 rpm like nothing. I like the camaro style so it’s on my wish list.

I just did a test drive of the V6 and have to tell you that the Turbo 4 was more fun and had more pulling power than the V6. Go with the Turbo 4 and save $1600.00

to bad he did not get the performance package instead of the Lighting package. I just ordered the same car color and interior with the performance package. I do not need the flashing lights in the interior. But it does look good in the dark.

I'm considering buying another camaro. the 2.0l as a commuter. buy it would only save me a mile a gallon. the reason I want it is for the snow and ice mode. instead I'm buying blizzaks for my 2011 v6 1lt rs. I need to see a review on snow and ice mode vs just putting snow tires on a 5th gen cause we all know how snow and ice cripples the 5th gen in its tracks. owners manual says snow tires solves that issue. . ideas? advice?

Have you driven the ATS 2.0t? I am wondering how the two compare dynamically.... I'm thinking about getting that exact car and I love the way the ATS drives... any thoughts ?

Contact Levels Performance for a upgrade intercooler I but one when I had my ecoboost mustang and I have to say that guy is the best on making them huge difference between the factory and levels

I do think it will take longer for the Camaro to get a good aftermarket for the 4cyl than it took for the Mustang. Simply because Ford has had EcoBoost engines out for many years, and the Fiesta/Focus ST's have very big followings.

manufacturing complexities of the latest small block V8 in correction nobody can go wrong with 4cyl turbo DI Camaro versus even the LGX DI V6 these are refined including market exclusive key fob insert recognition to BCM for added muscle car security & safety ammenities. Something to take note in some other muscle cars the sport bucket seats don't have a non conforming discomfort shape. Mustang for example latest & previous 2014 years had seats that could literally have wild pony ride with seat frame NVH felt through human ergonomics "body". not an opinion however marketing to sale as trademark to factual marketing. these Camaro 2015 to 2016 seats conform somewhat more comfortably & have high quality inlays with double stitching on leather.

V8 cars not worth buying anymore. the pseudo macho bullshit makes me laugh. "I have a macho complex so I have to show off with a V8!!!!" it's pathetic. Also many of those who talk shit cant even afford a V8. The 2.0 turbo is still fast. faster than a lot of cars. It can beat most base v6. Times change. Deal with it. With more emissions restrictions and all that , more cars like this will be the norm. again V8 is a huge waste of money and not worth buying anymore. Gas is expensive and will only get more expensive. Oh and the BIGGEST bullshit with those who bitch about V8 or nothing. Unless you are literally in races all the time every day, you are the ones wasting HP. No point in having a V8 if you're not going to use its full potential. I prefer the 2.0 turbo over a waste of a V8

this is not the 2.0L turbo! this is the 3.6L v6.... there is a huge difference. Please get your facts straight.
