I think it was a good experience for you to be able to drive in Europe and know what's the situation here; it's really different from US and you actually were pretty good driving on the left for the first time.
Great review and love seeing you drive in my home country (now live in the US). Do you now see why the US ❤️NASCAR vs The rest of the world ❤️ F1? We like corners! ;-)
Great to see you over this side of the pond! Looks like you were in the Peak District National Park north of Derby (I live "down South", about 50 miles West of Heathrow in a town called Newbury). It'd be great to have you at one of our Mustang meets next time! :)
Hi Paul. Sorry to be nosey but I'm Owen, from Newport in South Wales. I actually have a Mustang Ecoboost and I'm interested in the sound of your Mustang meets. I'm happy to chat on here or my email is owen4cars@yahoo.co.uk/ facebook - Owen T Vaughan Next time you have a mustang meet, I'll do my best to make it down as I've yet to do a long road trip in my "Stang. Thanks
There is another car in the Mini lineup you forgot to mention Matt and that is the Mini Countryman which is the next size up from the Clubman that you drove in this video and that car the Countryman is also available in both a gas and diesel engine option here in the UK but gasoline only in the USA and North America including Canada, and yes i agree with you i think Mini should give it's North American customers the choice of buying a diesel powered Mini alongside the gasoline powered Mini's.
I have the same S model and trim/options but for a regular Mini Cooper 4 door. Definitely had to go with the black headliner. I would've gone with the Clubman but the price difference was too much. I would've loved to have the extra space :[
For the last three years, diesel sales were declining and petrol and electrified fuel car sales are increasing certain car makers has made less diesel variants or none at all e.g. Volvo has ditched the diesels for the all-new S60 and will be available with petrol and petrol plug-in hybrid powertrains. The BMW TwinPower 2.0-litre diesel engine with 187hp (190PS) is one of the best diesel cars on sale it provide adequate performance, it is refined and delivers a good throttle sound. The Cooper S variant sits below the JCW model and the Cooper SD is the most powerful diesel in the range; the Cooper S is for those who want the go-kart but don't to go the extreme for the JCW car and putting less than 10k miles per year, whereas, the Cooper SD is for those who still want fun from the Cooper S and doing a lot of motorway driving.
How did he get a drivers license on the open road ? Did Mr. Regular visit a different location? I remember he could only drive on private property because of some detail. Insurance or License? Maybe Matt got a special press pass?
The license carries over if you're just visiting. I'm not sure how insurance would work on a regular rental car, but Mini arranged the insurance on this press car for me while I was there.
The european mpg test cycle is not "a little bit different", it's completely different and a joke. The exact same car that gets 28 MPG in the US can get 47 MPG in european testing. The european test numbers are impossible to achieve in reality, in that test an average of 5 hp (!) is used.
