Really funny and still very informative, I love how you can compare with your other bikes. Your channel has always been very unique, and now this other specificity of owning and do actual riding on three different recent touring models brings an extra interesting outlook.

I had a Road Glide back in 2000 when they were a pretty rare sight in the UK . Having had a Road king before high speed cruising was in a different league . Rock solid and not really affected by side winds . I could not get on with the looks though and traded it after a year for a Fat Boy . Now I think they look great especially the new ST in grey . Must try one ! . Thanks for the write up . Love your stuff

The only honest review in the internet available…. While I appreciate Harley-Davidson bikes the $45k price tag and mediocre suspension, no led, no passenger pegs is never sounding a good deal Harley-Davidson…..I actually wonder why other RU-vid reviewers never talk about suspension one of most critical part for a premium heavy weight bike…..mostly the other reviewers are confined to the saddle bags😂 and 117 from yesteryears …. I must emphasise if you put a good suspension to any bike it will ride like a dream…

I like the way you took it easy and bedded in the tyres and brakes! I've owned my Dyna since buying it new in 2006 and it seems pretty indestructible....these bikes are tough. I did change the suspension though. 😎👍

'22 RG-ST (& SG-ST) are beautiful bikes right out of the gate. However can be improved upon based on personal preferences. Replace the stock suspension (rear & front) with an improved setup (Legends, Ohlins, Wilbers, etc.). Add a Fan to the oil cooler (HD or Thundermax). Add the Rockford-Fosgate/Harley Stage-2 Audio (2 fairing speakers, 2 bag lid speakers, 1 amp). Change out lighting (upgrade to LEDs). Performance mods: Stage-1 Exhaust (Slip-on mufflers or Entire Exhaust System) and Stage-2 Cam (Torque Cam with strong low-to-mid rpm is perfect for 95+ % of riders on a touring chassis); and then proper full Dyno Tune. (If retaining warranty, stick with the HD OE Cams & Tuner for the 2 year warranty period). While in the cam chest, upgrade the Cam Plate & Oil Pump (HD-SE, S&S, or Fueling). For 2-up riding: add a 2-up seat and passenger footpegs or footboards, and a Sissy bar w/passenger backrest pad. Tom M., Hawthorne Ca. USA, '21 RGS (Snake Venom/black pkg.) & '22 Low Rider S (Black)

Great choice - the S&S 540 is the way to go! I've got the same in my RG with a 128cu kit. I had the 475 cam for 6-months (awesome cam) but the 540 cam is better suited for your big bore engine. And has you have already gathered - torque cams are the way to go in touring Harley's.

Agree 100% on the cam upgrade. It's a game changer

Having ridden both the Road Glide and Ultra limited, I have to say that I don't agree that the fairing makes any difference. The wind, or air pressure still hits both the same, whether its on the handlebars or frame, meaning you have to do a little correction on the steering, though very slight, either way. I never noticed any difference in the way my arms feel after riding either. To me it comes down to preference. If you believe that wind hitting the road glide front end won't push the bike as much as the batwing, I'm not going to try to change your mind. To me, riding either one, if you get hit with a gust of wind you're making corrections either way. Great Video again Danny!

The entire Harley crew are champions at GHD it seems... I've personally always thought HD was just over priced slow bikes that don't handle but you probably have changed a few minds. Even if I don't love the bikes, if I was ever to consider getting a used one that's where I'd be going !

My opinion means nothing, but here goes; I have a Street Glide Special, and my wife has a CVO Street Glide. We do plenty of k’s together, long k’s, and we’ve never had an issue with wind control due to the batwing fairing. I’m sure that the Road Glide is fantastic, however for us the Street Glide is also. Re: the 2022 CVO debate regarding engine displacement, I’m sure that some CVO owners have one because previously they wanted the largest stock motor, however I believe that the other CVO features are what drives people to purchase them. It probably should have the largest motor, but who cares?! I’d love to have a 131 kit, however let’s be honest, how often is any owner of a bike with that kit really experiencing the full range of power. Just my two cents. Love ‘ya work, Danny. ✌️

I can't decide. I went into a Harley dealer to look at the Pan Am to replace my Honda CB500X with the Rally Raid kit. While I was there I sat on a RG Limited and fell in love with it. Now, after watching this, I think want the ST.

MDB I just bought a new RG, 114 motor and I love it. It blows my old 2012 RG 103 tc away. It’s such a better bike then my 2012.

Them frame mounted fairings were always popular with the crowd that road long distances. The cruisers usually removed them. Dealers had stacks of take offs for years but now they are hard to find.

Love the comments on the tail light you made, had me rolling lol LED not standard, and the Covid variants joke was funny too, I’ll use it with the HD guys

Road Glide is king of the road but the Road king is more of a motorcycle. I’ve had 6 Road Glides. Personal hate the CVO front wheel. Great review!

Thanks Danny for being honest about the bike, especially the poor suspension ! hopefully they will listen !! We know you Love HD, but it would be fun for you compare other Heavy Touring bikes... The new 2022 jeans blue Gold wing Bagger with red motor is a very good looking bike and would make good review content , if Honda would lend one to you and it is cheaper than the Road Glide ST, @ $39k ... P.S also like how you said your R.K.S is still your favourite !! its mine too ;-)

Danny, Love you man. I look forward to opening up RU-vid with the hope you put out a new video. This is my opinion only, You have a have RK, SG and RG. So you will be able to give your honest opinion. What I have noticed between the three in terms of riding and maybe you can see if this holds true. The Street glide fairing offers very good protection, maybe the Road Glide is a bit better as it covers lower in addition to the fixed frame every comments. What I have noticed riding all three. Alot of time on RK and SG, not very much on a RG, The fact the street glide fairing with all its gear (Radio, Gauges, etc) place on the forks, the added weight on the front suspension makes the bike handle better. It grips better. you noticed this difference especially going from a Road king to a street glide. God bless you.

Knew what you were going to say about the suspension but that is inevitable. But I do like your vlog keep the good work up. I used to sell harley davidsons for a major franchise But you can,t keep a good man down. i baught a 07 dyna "not in your league wobbles around corners and is a challenge from my 02 ktm 520 but I live with the inadequacies and enjoy riding it as it is a challenge lol

Glad to hear your trying the new S&S 540 cam on your roadglide you should be happy with the smooth but hard pulling torque cam!!! Danny mayb you should look into T-BAR Set up for your roadglide since you mention about liking stock bars over the ones you have on your CVO.

I think we all agree Harley stock suspension is sub par and HD is now supposed to be offering Ohlins suspension upgrades in their P&A. It was mentioned in their 2022 new model video but still not showing in the P&A.

Nice I like your videos! . You should Tell Harley to add Olins rear shocks and cvo led light in back Or color matched inserts it looks like they forgot to finish rear.Only thing I did not like. I just bought a 2022 street glide st gray 3-4 weeks waiting time.Fyi it looks to me Like it comes stock with torque cam 447 I would guess ..127ft lbs It has more torque than stock cvo same motor though.

I believe the 19 in the front and 18 in the rear started becoming standard from 2018 and after on the specials. I might be wrong but I don’t think I am. They are smaller than the CVO front wheel I believe, though.

What would really be nice and if it is sold in Australia...is for you to travel on the Electra Glide...1969 version ,which here in the US came out a year or two ago..that motorcycle was a piece of Americana in those days..and always will..thanks for the great episodes..so unique..

On point, good review. Feels lighter because there is a big difference between a 21 and 19 on the front. And the last clip solidified that I do not want RDRS! One question, what almost caused you to dump it?

Thanks for the review Danny. That Red rear light looks crappy. Here in USA that rear light different from stock , it’s a clear lens and is LED and it’s less bulky ( not as long front to back). There’s about a 10k ISD diff between cvo and ST here…just an FYI…one last thing the ST’s tune and it’s stock exhaust have been worked to mate together a lot more than Harley normally do to be optimized for performance a little more than normal. I just took a ride on both Street and Road Glide and I’m going for the Street Glide. Just felt a bit more sporty. Question….did you establish what cause that rear end kick at the beginning?
