My existing roof box can use T bolts (which I have avoided so far) and my favoured method of U shaped bolts that go around bars and up inside roofbox. Fitting U bolts was easy enough on my old car where the bar anchor points used roof to door window ledge - and gave me ample roof to look and handle the positioning of bolts. But new car has flush roof rails. Wanting to keep existing Kamei Delphin box, will car's flush rails cause me issues with accessibilty to the point of frustration. Was a Thule bar fan but now seriously considering Atera due to easy fitment and perhaps attatching bars to box before placement on car. Your experience here would be appreciated. Thanks. R.

Many thanks for your comments! What's the new model of vehicle you have?

do you get any wind noise with these? and can the 'feet' be changed if you change the car?

Hi Dinesh - wind noise is really minimal with these bars. So they're impressive both in terms of performance and price. Providing you have the same type of raised roof rail for each car you plan to use them with, then fit is universal. There's no footpack to change as with Thule, for example. Atera's own configurator can be found here: atera.de/en/basistr%c3%a4ger-f%c3%bcr-dach-und-reling.html . The downside is that if car a) has this type of roof rail and car b) has a non-raised version, then you would not be able to use these for both vehicles. Quality wise, there's really no difference between Thule, Kamei and Hapro for these. We also have a review for Atera's Casar roofbox coming up before Monday, which you may find interesing too, BTW, we have no commercial relationship with Atera and do not take payment for reviews. So we're completely independent with our conclusions. They score 9/10 IMHO and are so easy to fit (literally just a few mins).

@@carxtras thanks for the comprehensive reply and I'll be sure to look out for the roofbox review too. One last question, are these bars just as quiet as the Thule aero's? Or even the Whispbars? Thanks
