Review of the Acerbis 4.1 Gallon (15.5 liter) fuel tank PN 2367750147 for 2012 to 2015 KTM fuel injected bikes 250, 350, 450, and 500.
UPDATE: I took this tank off because I rarely used the capacity. I didn't realize when I bought the bike it would get 50 mpg since my 2002 KTM 520 only got 35 mpg. The bike boiled over a few times and I think this tank blocks the radiator air flow a bit.

Excellent review, if I wanted to mount the cap with a key, what size should the cap be? (I think there is a small and large measure)

I ride a 350 XC-F. I've never had a boil over, but the fuel does like to boil in the 1.98 gallon stock tank. I'd think the fuel would be cooler in this tank with the shrouds cooling the fuel. Not the case?

I believe this should fit the 2016 as well correct? How are you liking your tank so far? I have a 2016 ktm 500 exc 8m thinking of putting this tank on.

Do you think you still need the radiator guards? Its been a year since my last comment and didnt know if your opinion changed. I am about to order a tank for the purposes of adding fuel AND protecting radiators

I don't think they are needed with this tank. I have since switched over to a 3 gallon tank. My bike doesn't boil over any more and I find that my 500 is very fuel efficient and I just never needed 4 gallons. I have this 4 gallon tank for sale for $120 if you are interested.

alexkram so would you recommend the 3.0gal tank over the 4.1gal? I currently run the stock tank and have a 1gal rotopax on a rear rack. Trying to eliminate the rotopax. The stock tank is definitely not enough. Not sure an extra 0.8gal will make the change worth it.

@@wv4life375 I like the 3.0 better than the 4 because it cools better, looks better, and it's all the gas I need. My bike gets 50 mpg and I'm usually not alone so our range is limited by my buddies tanks more than mine. I got this tank because once on a 120 mile ride in the mojave desert it was all sand and I burned through a lot of gas and barely made it back to the truck. That was on my carbureted 520 and it was not efficient. If you really need the range the 4 gallon tank is great but it does affect cooling a bit.

Where are you located? Shipping would be the deciding factor. I can get a new tank shipped for free for just under $200.

I find it funny how everyone complains like crazy about how it's bigger than stock. Well duh... my sx tank holds very little fuel.
