It's been 3 years but I can answer your question. The K3 is the most stable but also pretty dead. Also felt the least "slarvey" is that makes sense, more of a defined kickout. Skoas are on the opposite end, still very stable, but definitely more freeride oriented, more rebound, squishier, divier. Initiation was a lot easier and more gradual. They are easily my all time favorite freeride truck but I wish they came in narrower options. K5s are pretty much right in between. A good all around truck and I would take them over K3s for just about anything. I still wish I never sold my Skoas tho.
Has anyone tried split trucks angles for free riding like 46*/38* or other combinations? How hard was it to do slide switch 180 back and forward? I mean there was a time you had to ride backward with lower angle truck on the front (less turn) and you tied to switch it back or vice versa.
I rode 50/30 on my K5s for the last two years, and while it was possible to do some switch stuff, you really had to focus on it and it didn’t feel good backwards. 46/38 might not be too bad though.
theyre quite similar to savants, i find these have a more responsive centre and have a clearer initiation and consistency. both are good but i prefer these
