Passengers can use their own currency so that they will know the actual amount. Before covid and donkey years ago, there were even free seats which you only had to pay for the airport tax and that was roughly RM 40 only. As time passes, the airport terminal changed from that of a LCCT low cost carrier transport to that of now KLIA 2 which is a mega mall airport concept. KLIA 1 or just KLIA is used by MAS. Both terminals occupy the same grounds. The tickets offer by Air Asia have always been more competitive than that of MAS which is afterall a premium national flag carrier airline. During covid, passengers experienced cancellation of flights without a refund. After covid, there are inconsistencies in the take off time from both the airlines. The reason being the fear of catching the disease. But gradually and slowly, both return to normal. Not reaching the actual normal mark yet.

a320-200 can be retrofitted with sharklets which make the plane more efficient. Same with 737NGs and their "split scemitar" winglets.
