I have this scanner and it is horrible for glares on certain images and doesn't offer any real manual control in order to prevent it - you can use side lights that are included but those just put glares on different parts of the image surface than the overheads. I notice that the glare appears near the center of your Nadine Gordimer book, really washing out a portion of it. If you look at the large scan in your video and then the side scans to the left, you'll see the same section of the Gordimer book has the glare on it. I'm a bit surprised you would consider this a beautiful scan.
I am seeing some glare issues as well as vignetting on some book scans (old books with color illustrations). I wish there were controls to improve exposure- it can be a bit too contrasty with too dark/too light. In other cases, the scans of color books are beautiful. I've scanned a few books printed around 1900, and using color or greyscale, the scans of some watercolor illustrations are really nice. Scans of music books flatten out amazingly well and look perfect- the main reason I got this.
Hi, I have purchased this czur pro product and download the apps on my phone. I like the idea of the lamp and scanner which its kinda tidy for the office. I have learned about the lamp and the apps and pretty much, I can use it very well. I want to ask you how to link the scanner to the laptop? what is the process? here I am stuck because I linked my laptop to the scanner via USB cable but it doesn't take any action. please if you could help through, I will appreciate it. thanks Taleb Bagazi
Both PPI and DPI are important indicators for evaluating image quality.PPI is the average number of pixels per inch.Usually used to evaluate the quality of the picture, the higher the image ppi value, the richer the details of the picture.DPI is the average number of dots per inch. It is usually used to evaluate the quality of the image output. If the image is washed or printed, the higher the DIP value, the more the print and the number of dots printed. The more the image quality, the better.
Looking for something to scan old mags before recycling. Want to store locally, HDD DVD or CD so any good? Sadly the company doesn't respond to emails very promptly.
The current software Version 2.1.5 (55) lets you export very easily as Word OCR, Excel OCR, Searchable PDF, PDF, or Tiff. All the images are first saved to a folder on your drive as jpg. Software very easy to use.
It comes with yellow "finger cots" which you can use to press down on the book. The software will attempt to remove the image of these if it recognizes the black graphic design at the tip. I have done some test scans where I didn't flatten at all, and the software did an incredible job of straightening. (Those were tests on black/white detailed coloring book designs that cover both facing pages. The designs were stitched together basically perfectly in that use case.
