I'm extremely impressed that Delta offered a meal on this flight. When I flew on a UA 777 from Chicago to Honolulu in 2021, I only recieved a small snack bag at the beginning of the flight and that was it. I would definitly try Delta some day.

Love the video, but for clarity, they don’t don the lights during day flights, which this still was. They dim the lights at night so your eyes don’t have to adjust if there is an emergency exit. You were in the day, so the opposite is true.

i flew ATL-HNL and back in november on a Delta A330 and i really enjoyed their service. i actually had the same meal on my flight to HNL, the pasta gave me heartburn but it was decent. i was impressed with the placemat/cutlery combo, Delta is great. it was also my first time on a wide body so that was exciting, can't wait to go back. Hawaii is so beautiful.

Doing this flight in July but on 767-300, and used miles to upgrade to Comfort +. Cannot wait for our Hawaii trip!!

Love this!!! However heads up if you’re taking Delta HNL-LAX. they use the very old 757 planes. And the seat back entertainment screen is so small

My grandpa know a lot about HNL airport because he used to fix L1011s back then. He also has a map of old HNL!

I will say I was impressed with my recent AA nonstop from DFW to OFG on their 787-9. Probably part of a handful of domestic AA flights with IFE. A tasty but cold chicken wrap with chips and a brownie .

Nice video. I about threw up door when I seen Southwest. I can’t believe they allowed him to fly to Hawaii. The reason why Delta has a large presence is because they got all the Northwest hubs and west coast gateways to and from Honolulu. You were on a NW A330! Nice video and disappointed airlines aren’t having inflight mags.

I know after take-off from runway 8R, all aircraft are required to bank right and turn to fly over the ocean for noise abatement.

united is the worst for economy class. Delta and american do it right on longer flights to hawaii anything outside of the pacific time zone to hawaii you can expect food beer and wine complimentary on flights to hawaii

I am watching this video 2 years after it was uploaded to RU-vid (April 21st 2024, to be exact), um, can someone help me out here, he said the plane was delivered in 2008, and the age of the plane is 19.2 years old, um, ok everyone, yes, i did fail seventh grade math, but um, something doesnt add up here, or, is all of that correct and he meant to say that Delta PURCHASED the aircraft in 2008? ah yes, I see now, he does say it in the overlay in the video, however, this aircraft was PURCHASED by Delta, not DELIEVERED to delta, there is a difference..........

nice and excellent video, but I still prefer Hawaiian airlines for 3 reasons. I have always liked and preferred the 330-200 since is classic and is more of my joy. 2, is the Hawaiian best experience of course and you can feel it on the plane. And 3, Hawaiian flies the 330 to my state while Delta not.

You did get a drink before dinner though......a bottle of water

I’m taking that flight in August. Wish it was on the A330. It’s on a 767-300. I’m hoping they get rid of that terrible mask mandate that does nothing for anyone. Making people wear masks for a flight that long is abuse.

I enjoyed your video. But to be honest the meal service was pathetically cheap and trash. How could any airlines serve something like that and feel proud about its customer service. I remember flying back when I was young in the 60s up until the present. And it’s been pretty pathetic. Customer Service continually goes downhill. But the American traveling public will just accept this kind of mediocre meal service which should be a nice experience. Especially to Hawaii. Where the American carriers used to do each other and the excellent and exquisite service they could serve their passengers on the Hawaiian routes. Now it’s nothing more than a cattle car wings!! But your explanation of the type of plane, brief history of the carrier, and scenes of leaving Honolulu and arriving in Minneapolis are pretty good. That I can appreciate. Case in point, though. I flew northwest airlines from Honolulu to Los Angeles in 1983. Economy class. We had an exquisite meal service. Real food and superior customer service. Even to this day Northwest Airlines was a far superior carrier than Delta. And then they got merged. Sadly. I enjoyed your first video that I’ve seen from your account. I have subscribed.
