This has been an okay palette for me so far… SUPERB and pretty packaging, however the shadows are quite common colors…I feel we've all seen them before… a couple times actually lol and when I get a new palette with very common shades I want the formula to be really spectacular… in this case I feel half the is palette great and half was not so great. I feel if you are someone who likes a good grundgy smoky eye and do not have much eyeshadow this one will get the job done pretty easy! Today I actually pulled a fairly neutral look out of it… I hadn't anticipated that but I wanted to use a shade I hadn't already and I also wanted to take a different approach to using the mattes. I was trying a bit too much in the first two looks I did with this palette to make those mattes all blend together for me and it just wasn't happening so I guess me 'n the palette started off on the wrong foot lol… they do work nicely MIXED with the other shades… when I blended with shimmer all was well in the neighborhood! P.S. While I did manage to create a fairly neutral look in this video… I still feel as though several combinations of shades are going to yield an extremely similar look to one another. It would have been nice if the colored 'smoky' shades had more actual color in them so that they would be more distinguishable when used :)
