Jackie was WRONG. Just repeat her statement and replace “infertile” with HIV. I mean, can you imagine someone standing on stage and stating, You can relate, you’re HIV positive. Any reasonable person would have been offended. Jackie is a doctor and is held to a higher standard of confidentiality. I don’t care about her intent. The impact of Jackie’s statement was harmful.
Camryn Virgil Jackie was wrong. Also, Buffie said she is not infertile. She can get pregnant, but has issues carrying a baby to full term. Two different things. Also, just because Jackie feels comfortable discussing her issues in a public forum does not mean everyone else is comfortable sharing their intimate issues in a public forum with people they don’t know.
She would be wrong if Buffie didn't tell everyone herself prior and on tv. So I don't think Jackie was wrong. It wasn't a secret. Buffie didn't even care about the statement. She was sad because she wanted a child, but when Mariah and her crew got in her ear that's when it became a bit deal.
Coming from a woman battling infertility jackie was wrong. Idc if I told 8 million people at the end of the day it's my story to tell with whom I deem fit to hear it. Its a very difficult and depressing situation to be in for jackie to have blasted that woman out like that. However, I don't feel Jackie's actions were malicious.
According to Heavenly on this clip, they had already talked about it, Buddy was not even upset and she apologized to Buffy. Buffy brought it up again on the trip. So now I get why Jackie had that attitude . NOW JACKIE IS WRONG for saying it PERIOD. However, if you and a have discussed it, I apologize and you're ok. Why bring it up again like we've not talked about at all.
Jackie was mad that she was called out on what she said. When you are wrong, you are wrong. Her apology was very dismissive. Everyone make mistakes NO ONE is perfect. The difference between Jackie's infertility and Buffie's is that Jackie can pinpoint how she became infertile. She's a two time breast cancer survivor that went through chemo. That makes her an overcomer and a "shero" in the eyes of others. In a sense, her survival props her up for lack of better words. She can tell people "I didn't have children because of chemo," and they automatically admire her strength and tenacity. She's also had years to sit in the infertility headspace. She's come to terms with it. She can contend with it because she survived cancer as a trade off. Buffie on the other hand is only 40 with no real rhyme or reason to why she hasn't conceived(or carried a baby to term. I forgot if she says she's been pregnant or not). No survival story to contend with. Nothing to prop her up and make her look like a warrior. I can imagine that makes her feel like a failure (which she is not of course), rather than an overcomer, despite other women having the same issue. It's still a sore spot for her, and rightfully so. Long story short, Jackie was wrong. Her response to being called out was even worse. Even though I know she had good intentions. I don't care if Buffie tells her own story a million times on a million different platforms, it's HERS and hers alone to tell.

I agree with that. I myself had cancer at 32 and by 35 I couldn't have kids. I looked at this situation through that lens, so I didn't think Jackie didn't mean it the way it sound. I got it with your comment. We all have a story but until we tell it, it's not my place to expose it or force someone to come to terms with it. Thank you for that.

Jackie took her frustration out on Buffie. Her response to Buffie calling her out seems like it was a build up from people allegedly taking her niceness for weakness. Her anger came out wrong and was misdirected. Jackie stated that she's tired of apologizing for things when people know her, but Buffie just arrived and had nothing to do with Jackie's frustrated past. Jackie had no compassion and need to apologize in front of those that were there.

At the event Buffy talked about being sad about not having a baby. She never came off as she was upset about what Dr Jackie said. Mariah, Lake and some other woman made that an issue. All people have to do is pay attention.

Dr. Jackie's response makes perfect sense now, given Dr. Heavenly's explanation. The question is did she apologize off camera so she would not be called out on camera? If so, she could have politely off or on camera asked for permission to use her story. I believe she did not want her to bring it up so it could look like she was fine with it. She said it in public she should have apologized in public. If someone is tired of apologizing for their actions, then the person needs to pause before speaking or acting and think how what they are about to do will affect the other person then act accordingly and face the consequences.

The flip side is she's materialistic, self-entitled, and lazy AF. I don't care for how the producers are showing Jackie this season. The context is cut from several of these scenes and it's obvious.

I need the EP to pay more attention to what’s on the editing floor because some of the cuts are not making sense. I was confused about Jackie getting SO angry when Buffy confronted her. That should have been followed with one of those confessional interviews with Jackie to help it make sense because it made Jackie look CRAZY.
