Judging Alexander’s vocals but saying Poland’s was fine? What a joke. Plus it was even more generic than Australia.

Jury: choose only safe radio-friendly songs and they don't care about the performances so much. No surprise Latvia, Malta and Sweden were high. Televote: chose fun performances which are memorable and they don't care about genre of the songs. So Moldova, Denmark and Ukraine were their favs.

The funny thing is that San Marino finished above Malta BECAUSE of Malta. Jessica is Maltese, meaning San Marino got their first 12 points ever from Malta

My Top SF2 was: 1. Slovenia - Lea my winner of course, pure energy. 2. Denmark - Game of Thrones style... Woohoo 3. Latvia - It was a very touchable performance 4. Moldova 5. Poland 6. Russia 7. Serbia 8. Ukraine 9. Romania 10. San Marino - I know there are a lot of people that dislike this entry, but I really like it. It was like Vengaboys, Alice Deejay or Fun Fun. The problem with Malta maybe was that there were too many unnecessary things going on in the performance, like Belarus in SF1. However Malta didn't deserve to be on the televoting bottom. Montenegro was OK. Hungary was ok but they seemed to be like a garage band, for that style Montenegro 2016 was so much better. Australia, Norway and Netherlands were too high, and the performances were not so great. Sweden was like watching a videoclip, dislike. Georgia was boring.

Most of San Marino's televote points came from Malta themselves, because Jessika's Maltese so... :P Malta was overlooked because the lyrics were silly and the staging was too much. Georgia did not deserve last out of everyone. They deserved better. Norway winning the semi and Romania being 4 points off qualifying is a travesty. Both should of been bottom 5. Glad to see you back Alesia :)

Hungarys position didn't surprised me, i never thought the jury would like it. About Latvia, it really is a professional song, so i dont mind the jurys result. I agree about Norway and Australia - overrated

Glad you're feeling refreshed! Glad you liked being in Portugal! Agree with you about Norway, didn't liked the song but it's catchy but not "good". It's just not my cup of tea, my opinion, but I respect yours. :)

Welcome back! Really hyped for Tel Aviv 2019 and what you have to say!Honestly I think the Russian delegation screwed Julia over big time. The song, the staging, everything was wrong, and I feel sad that Julia had no input in her entry, she could have qualified with her own music.

I still think Russia needs to have a national selection. I do want to have a chance, at least, to look at all opportunities we have. I really hate the fact that since 2012 (when we've chosen... guess whom...) we don't have a NS. I didn't like "Party for Everybody" but, at least, I knew, that the rest of the songs weren't much better. Now I just get a fact that the person will represent my country, sometimes I don't even have a clue who's the hack it is (like in 2013 or 2017-18) and I need to google them. And the lack of NS affects the songs as well, we have the same genre for 6 years already... we need to stop with ballads, I had enough.... we do have other genres, I don't even mind rap to represent Russia (in fact, it's extremely popular in the country) even though I know it has no chances to do well in ESC. That's how I'm tired from current situation. That's what I think .

Georgia a bottom 5 song? Absolutely not. Iriao put on a great show and it was ludicrous that they finished dead last in semi two. Poland was bad and it was good that they didn't qualify (did anyone else hate Groomee's ridiculous hand gestures?) Regardless, thanks for the breakdown, Alesia. I can't wait for next year.

Don’t know how Malta didn’t get more than 8 points is baffling to me...but that’s 2 years in a row where the televote has gone completely against Malta 🇲🇹 could even say the same for the 2016 final for Malta, ranked 4th by the jury and 21st by the televote

In my opinion both Malta and Poland were really awkward. I believe Malta got overrated by the jury’s and underrated by the public.

Poor Malta has no neighbors, San Marino at least had Malta to give it 12 since Jessika’s Maltese. Rybak is just popular throughout Europe, no surprise he did well.
