I love this watch. I was deciding between a Tudor and a Longines and this was my clear choice. They have a beautiful design, a very accurate LaJouxPerret calibre and amazing finishing. Many people have been impressed with this model. I love the Highlife line.
A beautiful watch and your review does it justice. Alas, here in the UK the retail price is around £3000, which seems rather expensive for what is in effect still a micro brand in many people's eyes. I assume FC are doing the Seiko thing of attempting to climb into a richer demographic by fleecing their customers as much as the traditional Swiss watch hacks do. Then there's that brand name. Christopher Ward has done a lot of work to rebrand and I feel that FC has a long journey ahead if they want to appeal to the Western market. Of course, perhaps they don't want that market at all. Sorry for sounding negative but I find it hard to love FC as a business, which smacks more of knowing the right corporate lawyers and investment practices than watchmaking.
i have got this watch a few days ago. It's my first ever watch and I started the chronograph timer and then pressed the reset twice. it now doesn't work, is this something on my behalf I have messed up? How can i get around this? the clock seems to stop completely when I'm shaking it now which is odd. Im very rookie when it comes to watches. Could i have some help and guidance?
update. The person i purchased it off managed to get another one and send the damaged one back. it was a factory defect, doesn't look good on the brand. @@DanielDahl-i9p
