Jimin has been doing flips, high kicks in choreo since the very beginning. One of the most versatile artist and dancers out there always uping his game! I am always amazed at how he can seamlessly combine his contemporary dance style with hip hop and popping, so unique!! No one is doing it like Jimin!🔥
Jimin can do high kicks spins and flips just as esay as walking jimins dancing is mesmerising you cant take your eyes off him he puts everything into his craft dances from his fingers to his toes and is a genius who can dance to every beat he is unique in all his achievements thats why he is king of kpop
In bts Jimin has to be not just the most technical dancer but the most beautiful one. Described as dancing to the tips of his finger tips, is a true statement. Watching group performances your eye will automatically find Jimin. There’s a reason for that. His facials and his fluidity is very impressive. Yes he was trained as a contemporary dancer which helps with his breathtaking lines and his martial arts helps with his jumping and flipping. He’s a perfectionist in every aspect of his life. He truly believes he’s never good enough. You reacted to vibe recently. It was said that Jimin redid his part 15 times to be sure it was good enough. He’s awesome!
❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including being part of soccer team,, but also basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excelling in track & field throughout his schooling. Then, while going to Busan Highschool of the Arts, he then also studied & performed contemporary. Media even called Jimin “The rising star of Busan” after seeing Jimin perform on stage during a huge festival. JIMIN also studied, some ballet as well as even traditional Korean dance. But Jimin’s main love was always hip hop. Though he did enjoy dancing contemporary, which Jimin indeed excels at, to this day all his dance movements, have his exquisite body placement, amazing elegant, poised, clean lines, as well as he also always stands, even without dancing, with out-turned feet, his foot positions always end up while dancing in classical out turned foot position, placement that classically trained dancers have. Jimin found he could express himself even more through contemporary dance. Very few dancers have the ability to dance as many styles of dance as well as have the ability to incorporate all of them, even his gravity defying, martial arts, moves in his dance. I totally get the fascination with Jimin because he IS mesmerizing. His moves are fluid, beautiful, yet strong and dynamic. Thank you for your reaction. Jimin has a major in contemporary & if he hadn't of joined BTS he might of stuck to his roots. Not only does he incorporate his martial arts in his dance but also his hip hop. If watching someone dance can bring emotions (and I cried watching this) then he is doing what he does perfectly. Dancing is his passion & you feel & see this with his facial expression alone, you can see he himself feels the music, not just hears it. I feel this was his goodbye present before enlisting but rumour has it that there will be new music possibly in the first few months of the new year. Also we have his travel vlog with JK coming soon. May I suggest Jimin & JK's Bangtan bomb dancing to Own It - Drake & also Jimin & j hope MAMA 2016.
Jimin makes that flip look so easy and effortless but it is incredibly difficult and like you said that shows just how exceptional he is and his work ethic is ridiculous 💜🔥
JIMIN = DANCE KING . I LOVE ❤️ ❤️ THE WAY HE MOVES. CAPTIVATING Not many people can go from modern and ballet to hip hop, popping, etc, so gracefully. The styles and techniques for each area of dance are vastly different. If there can be a genius for dancing, he would be it. He's a combination of other great dancers like Micheal Jackson, graceful like Fred Astair, sexy like Prince and then Jimin. The way he can interpret a song with his dancing and make you feel it too is crazy. I'm an older Army and He's the total package, the most complete dancer I've ever seen (not just K-pop either) I've watch a lot of Jimin's dance compilations. He's managed to incorporate all his classical training , hip hop, street, martial arts, and his innate sense of movement to create his own style. Easy on the eyes, but hard to recreate. You guys need to watch Jimin's Athleticism or Jimin Defying Gravity Athleticism, Flexibility and Core Strength. That's how good is Jimin in dancing is because he incorporates his background in sports to his dancing, of course aside from being a perfectionist and a hard worker. People can be mad if they want, but people I think have no idea how amazing and crazy talented jm is, I know about art, and performative art that belongs in a small elitist crowd and that place jm is the perfect specimen for them, sorry if this sounds weird, it’s the same as RM and his art, the world that they belong it’s so crazy small that people have no idea cause we are used to the pop world… it’s crazy… CRAZY!!!!!
I’m sure others have told you already that Jimin is not only a trained contemporary dancer (which is why he wanted to show us this segment), but is also a Taekwondo black belt and trained for over eight years in Kendo and also did Hapkido. He is amazingly talented as a dancer and is famous for his core strength and center lines while dancing. Check out his other dance challenges! He has one with Taemin and they’re awesome!!
