Looks like a fantastic product for a digital/streaming based system. For folks who mainly listen to vinyl, is this maybe not the right system for them? I see there’s RCA inputs, but is the analog signal converted to digital? I’m guessing yes, because the two speakers are connected with an Ethernet cable, or wirelessly.
Yes, all the setup and configuration is digital - these are digital speakers. But that doesn't matter, the resolution of these speakers greatly exceeds that of vinyl - you'll lose nothing from your records by listening to them on these speakers.
Great question - with Uni-Q, the LS60 can be placed near corners without any problem. I recommend you use the KEF app to tune the speaker for that environment to ensure smooth reproduction of your music. - Bes Nievera/Music Direct Brand Ambassador
You get it serviced, of course! KEF has done a great job of addressing issues like this with their LS50 and LSX variants so it should be a no brainer for them to repair your unit during or after the warranty period. - Bes Nievera/Music Direct Brand Ambassador
FWIW, I have a KEF powered speaker system and after 7 years it’s still running like new and sounding great. Never needed the warranty, but having it gave me peace of mind.
The question for you, is which service would you like it to support? And if the service is not part of KEF's app architecture, would you accept Bluetooth as an option?
