Many people pray on an issue, but don't absorb the words and meaning behind it. Many won't genuinely take the time to study the many stories of the Bible to see how to handle a situation, so, of course an issue won't disappear if you go about it the wrong way. Also, some people are called to suffer for a period of time and most choose to suffer due to their own insecurities and mental state. More and more I come across people who where never bullied or victimized, yet chose to see themselves in a self-depreciating way. In any regard, I believe therapy can be useful and is a necessary field as long as one is made to accept responsibility, rather than placing their issues and faults onto others.
