Review on an old Märklin steam locomotive. Marklin #3047, 44690 (2-10-0). AC, 3-rail, H0 Scale locomotive train made by Marklin (Germany). It has telex magnet to uncouple cars from locomotive. In this video you will see overview of this loco, comparison with Marklin 3003 (24058), 3005 (23014), and 3029. Also, you will see how to disassemble the loco, take apart its universal joint (cardan, transmission, trasmissione, mitnehmer) and what it is made of. I will show you how telex magnet is working.

I'm so thankful that my great grandfather gave all of these to me and some other models, track, wagons, buildings and controllers (which sadly all popped at least 2 and a half years ago but I did buy one today) except for the little one which he gave to my dad. I am now 12 and going to start build a wooden base with track on it to have the trains run.

Beautiful machines. About 30 years ago my dad was in Germany and he bring me the little one. Still working after years of use. I would like to have more tracks to make a longer circuit. But I have never seen those here in Colombia.

You can go to eBay or here in sveden be have a lot of used Märklin for sale in Tradera. For Good prices. Not expensive.

I have that train, 44690. it runs like shit though, it's grind in to stop, make loud noise and the wheels is almost not moving when you try to move it with your fingers. Do you know what i should do?

My dad has a Märklin train somewhere in his hide-aways. (like forgotten inside some storage unit) The train is like a kind of tram-like vehicle and some more unknown carriages along with some railway.
