@@dragonempress8367 When Mojo found out the RowdyRuffs Boys had been resurrected by Him, the two competed to see who was the better/more evil father figure for the RRB. Needless to say, it was hilarious.
I never really cared about The RowdyRuff Boys as characters that much. Outside of their debut centric where the girls met their match (not in THAT way), there wasn’t much really to their characters. However, the paternal affection and pride that Mojo and HIM had for the boys was genuinely heartwarming and funny in a twisted sort of way. Sure, they created the boys for evil purposes, and they are both terrible role models. However, it was bizarrely sweet that, even HIM and Mojo, objectively the worst villains on the show, had genuine feelings of paternal affection and pride in the little boys they created/resurrected, and wanted to bond with them as fathers. In a way, that makes even Mojo and HIM better parents than Dick Hardy, who just mass produced superpowered artificial superhuman little girls for profit, and treated them as objects for him to create and destroy in a vicious cycle.
“Mojo, Mojo? MOJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHAAAT?”- My jab at some sort of Beatles session in which Yoko was saying John Lennon’s name over and over again. Also. Yeah. A missed opportunity indeed
@@mitchfletcher2386 True, but still though. Hell, even the Blossom subplot here was basically the Not-So-Awesome Blossom episode in the original as well.
FireShadow64 the reboot is making her a softy. Like Bubbles. She was scared of the freakin dentist and later on she meets a paranormal creature that while the encounter is cute seems like something Bubbles would come across and play with AND gets a go cart that just screams Bubbles. Rainbow Rocket... I’d turn it into “Rosebud Rocket” if I could.
I still prefer Mojo's original crush In the original despite being just a trick to break up the band. Still Mojo there's more monkeys swinging In the Love Trees waiting In your wings. Or shower them with your homemade Coconut Cream Pies! But hey It could've been worse with Donny having a girlfriend named; Twinklestick! (X^D I'm SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU REVISIT BLISS' 1st EPSIODE AND TRULY WAITE MONTHS FOR THIS!! 8D
I feel like Mojo and Barbarus could have worked better if they chose the opposites attract model of character romance. I mean it sort of works since Barbarus is the large, brawny muscle with fashion orientated goals and Mojo could have served as the small, brainier character who is more into science and math if they had presented it right
It really is amazing how just so off the mark this reboot is with capturing the tone of the original series, yet it wants to be seen as both a (semi) successor and SUPERIOR version of it yet it failed to do both. It really does hammer home the idea of what happens when you put people in charge who have no commitment or passion for the project they are given but focus so much more on how they think THEIR view point is better for everyone around them. That has always been my biggest qualm with the series. It would be one thing if the reboot were bad and it were just left to that, but the series' biggest downfall is just the blatant ego from the crew themselves that was oozing out long before the show even aired. That's the biggest reason why I hate this reboot so much; it all goes back to the crew and how they not only treated the property, how they treated the old crew and Craig but also how they treated the fans, both old ones and new ones. For old fans, they acted as if they didn't matter and that the show 'wasn't for them' yet still relied so much on them to buy the merch and get views. For the newer fans, they treat them like they're brain dead and are unable to handle the older plots of the older series which were simple as well. The old show was good but it wasn't something so complicated that you needed to water it down like this. And there is no commitment to their own goals. Didn't they say they were going to use tired old cliche and tropes for the series? And HOW many times have we had episodes that are just rom-com romance stories? As so many people have said, you write what you know and the crew did not know the Powerpuff Girls and what made them so popular. They know what they LIKE but what they like does not at all mesh with the series, at least in the way they're presenting it. Maybe if this were handled by better writers and better talent, they could have done something with even the most obnoxious of episodes but as it is the entire reboot was a flop and a testament to what happens when you give power to people who care more about their online fame vs just making a good show.
This episode was meh it had a few chuckles here and there, they are actually fighting crime, There were no out of character moments. They made the PowerPuff Girls way too weak through. Their evil scheems were too barebones, but that is forgiveable since the romance was the point.
Did Mojo seriously just dab?? Anyway, it's sort of ironic how the girls at one point were quick to call BS at Mojo's incorrect narration of Napoleon's history, only to get it wrong themselves. As for the episode itself......eh, the comic did it better.
No, the real irony is that during the original run the girls actually corrected Mojo and whaled him with pillows before they hauled his butt to prison.
So its just the concept from the krunk in love episode from the justice friends? even then krunk and she-thing had more chemistry bc the gag was them ignoring the fight to go on various dates and genuinely liking each others company.
this and am earlier season's eps that was practically a ''Dude. Where's my car?'' where they got hopped up on sugar n' couldn't remember the night before, i'd say all 3 or pretty bad drunks. THIS IS A KID'S SHOW XD

5:32 I actually thought that was kinda funny, Bubbles is definitely my favourite in the reboot (although Blossom was my favourite in the original). Your comment was perfect though XD Oh yeah and these two are definitely not staying together by the end of the second part, I bet my entire life on it
KLH Bubbles is my favorite in the original and she was my favorite in the reboot for a while... until I saw the train wreck that is Salamander.. don’t bother watching it everything I love about Bubbles is completely destroyed in that episode. She’s still my favorite Powerpuff Girl. Just not in the reboot anymore.
“Kiss off!” Lol I was just watching Phelan’s videos about MK DotR, and Sonya says that exact phrase constantly.... almost as much as she yells “kombat time!”
Wouldn't a better (or more cringy) title be Prime Mates?? An episode where Mojo JoJo meets his online friend from Australia where they terrorize the city as Mojo tries to Impress her but keeps getting beat up, until the Girls ask what his deal is and he tells them that them always beating him up is making him look bad to his lady love. Blossom and Buttercup get talked into helping by Bubbles who is sympathetic and wants to see Mojo happy Bubbles: If he's happy, maybe he will stop attacking Townsville ^_^ Buttercup: Or, they team up and destroy EVERYTHING!! After some bickering the Girls help out and Mojo impresses his new friend and they start dating. Next Episode: Best Mates The continuation where Mojo and his lady love are destroying Townsville whilst they look lovingly at each other. Back at the Girls' house Buttercup gives and I told you lecture the Bubbles. The Professor walks in and wonders what happened. Just as they finish telling him they get a call on the PPG phone and go to the jewelry store. As Mojo and his lady love are robbing the jewelry store, Mojo gets on one knee with the biggest diamond he stole from a museum the night before as a surprise. At his proposal, Mojo's lady love rejects his proposal but takes the diamond and other gadgets and runs off. The Girls stop her and Mojo goes on a rampage from a broken heart. I dunno, I kind of ran out of stuff for the second episode lol ^^; But it might be more Fun if written by a better writer ^_^ And someone who is really good with Monkey Puns ^^;
Ok since it's not Barberous you have to give her a new name. She is Australian so that's a good start she can act like an Australian sterotype. She also needs a name.
One of the most important parts of writing is character motivation. Think why is so and so doing this. Any motivation is fine as long as it fits the character and makes sense. Guy number 1: why did you blow up the restaurant! Guy number 2: That restaurant has really bad coffee. Just give The new girl a reason to dump Mojo Jojo.
I thought of an ending. Mojo Jojo is too depressed to do anything. Then he says I give up villany. Then Bubbles guilt trips Blossom and Buttercup into talking to cheering him up. Then they go to his Volcano Mountain lair. They see Mojo Jojo depressed listening to sad pop music and eating ice cream. Then Blossom says you don't need that girl. Is this the great Mojo Jojo! You are the most selfish, egotistical, mean, hate filled, destructive, cruel person I know. You're the nastiest villian in all Mojo Jojo: THANKS FOR THE KINDWORDS. YOUR RIGHT MOJO JOJO IS BETTER SOLO. Mojo Jojo: Now I am going to take over all of Townsville with my giant destro Robot. MWAHAHAHA. Then he gets in the giant robot and the PPG fight him. Bubbles: Now everything is back to normal and Mojo Jojo is feeling better. They beat up Mojo Jojo and send him to jail. Then the girl friend attacks Townsville in her own giant Robot and the girls beat her up and send her to jail. ,*Inside the prison. Mojo Jojo and the Australian girl friend are in the cell. Mojo Jojo' : How long did I last *Blossom looks at her stop watch* Blossom: 30 seconds Australian Girl friend: How long did I last Blossom pulls out her stopwatch Blossom: 29 seconds. Mojo Jojo says to the girlfriend: I'M m the Greatest villian in all of Townsville. I was harder to beat than you I am way better than the likes of you I am superior I don't need you MW HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA So once again the day was saved thanks to the PowerPuff Girls.
@@icecreamhero2375 lol, this is Awesome ^_^ She could be a Leamur named Jenny and just not wanting a commitment, but loving the gifts and so strings Mojo a long to get stuff. And she could be more mischievous than evil. And at the end when both are in jail Jenny might have genuine feelings for Mojo but wants to keep that to herself so that she doesn't get hurt. Mojo(After the stop watches that blossom has to time the girl's battles): Yes!! I, Mojo JoJo, was harder to beat than little flying Leamur! For I, Mojo JoJo, am the best in all of Townsville and all tremble at the name of Mojo JoJo!! Jenny in the background looks fondly at Mojo but hides it every time he looks at her, pretending to be bored. Blossom shrugs and sighs Buttercup says "Well if THATS how you want to define best" also shrugs Bubbles happily congratulates Mojo and smiles at Jenny Then for the next 2 seasons Jenny will lurk around Townsville playing little tricks such as stealing all of the mayor's pickles and filling the jars with mice, stealing Mojo's invisibility ray to make all the doors in Townsville invisible, replacing all of Miss Belum's papers with comics (to the mayor's delight), and so on. Then after 2 seasons Jenny and Mojo actually do get together and Bubbles says "I always knew they would make a great couple" While Buttercup and Blossom sigh as they realise that Mojo is going to be more of a handful ^_^ After all the only reason Jenny never left Townsville after turning on Mojo was because she actually liked him but didn't want to be the one hurt and it took her the full 2 seasons to come to terms with it and finally ask him if he would want her back. Now how's that for a PPG Romance Subplot?? ^_^
So not only did they make Blossom the supposed leader fall for J a r e d, they also made Mojo, the first villain the girls actually dealt with, have a 'love interest'
They gave him a love interest in the Beat-Alls episode. Sure, it turned out to be a trick and it was a spoof of the John Lennon and Yoko Ono relationship, but still.
Looking at things logically in my prediction for Shadow's top 5 best and worst list, I think A Star is Blossom would be a better candidate for the worst list then Take Your Daughters to Doom Day.
Yeah, I just did a rewatch of the entire OG PPG series. I loved the segment “Meet The Beat-Alls,” though I despised the segment “Moral Decay” that came before it. Now as an adult, I recognize that Moko Jono (actually a regular chimpanzee in disguise used to break the Beat-Alls up by the girls) was a Beatles reference to John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono. At the very least, Moko Jono (Michelle) was a chimpanzee, like Mojo, who SEEMED very sophisticated at first glance, and the writers didn’t play off their romance as anything more serious than an infatuation. In “Monkey Love,” they are playing off Mojo’s and Barbarus’s romance as a very serious thing, even if they’ve only known each other for a couple of days, and keep getting interfered with on dates by Fashionista following them around on every one. They haven’t really got anything in common, though, aside from both being primate criminals. Barbarus is a gigantic gorilla, but Mojo is a mutated chimpanzee. Mojo has genius-level human intellect that allows him to speak in English, but Barbarus cannot speak in any sort of human language at all. She’s more intelligent than the average gorilla since she can commit crimes and seemingly has human interests, but she still just makes gorilla grunts.
He is severely neutered from this 1998 appearance He does not reiterate reinstate and repeat himself Seriously they did not watch the episode mo linguish which is an episode centered around mojo jojo’s language patterns
I honestly feel bad for Bubbles voice actress. Her acting is quite decent. I can totally imagine her bang a great voice for some anime or Gibli style dubs.
Anyone feel like this show is turning blossom into squidward trope Not the grouchy neighbor Just the Universe hates me for some reason and the plot says every bad thing has to happen to me
Amolina44 I noticed the buttercup favoritism too I mean buttercup isn’t a bad character But it’s gets old And makes plots predictable It also doesn’t help their ‘favorite’ character isn’t a good person
"You pared them up just because they are both Monkeys that's too surface level" I disagree it's perfectly in character for Mojo Jojo to fall in love with someone just because they are hot. It's a classic cartoon joke. The PowerPuff Girls are in love with the RowdyRuff Boys and they look alike. All the characters are kinda like that.
@@icecreamhero2375 Ya but they weren't together. Saying someone is cute doesn't mean they are in a relationship and this is bubbles we are talking about.
@@inukaiya1509 I know. I guess what I am trying to say is they aren't in love but they are attracted to each other at least a little bit. Also to me Mojo dating Barbours is like a goofy cartoony gag.
Maybe they could have worked it so the (i forget their name) two fashion villon ladies owned the building then it could be a factor of Mojo broke in and the gorilla one was acting as the guard. I am actually kind of ok with the girls failing as much as they did in this one. I mean think about it if they did do it on the first or second time then the three are now in jail and the love (no matter how shallow) would die and in turn everyone would see the girls as evil because "How dare they destroy love."
Yup, still sloppily written as usual for this reboot. Its safe to assume that the writers for this reboot either don't care or they've never worked on anything at all, I'll go with the former. Also am I the only one that thought of a different song on the 2nd parody song in the episode. I was thinking more of that "I can't see nobody as loving but you, for all my life" song or something. And Mojo dabbing..........ouch. Rule #1 when it comes to dabbing in cartoons: make sure that the character/s doing it are actually cool enough to dab or make the character/s so much of try hard cool guy to the point that its humorous. Nice review still. Hope you have plans for other shows to tackle for the future, because I'm really digging your style.
Yeah, just because Mojo & Barbrarous are primates, doesn't mean that they should be a couple. They're not even the same species of apes either. And personality wise, Mojo's more interested in females of his species (chimpanzee) that are the artsy, wild, & brilliant kind. So Mojo's ideal mate is an entertainment-raised chimpanzee. Barbrarous is just a Tumblr/Twitter artist's wet dream (overweight, hairy, tiny clothes, primitive features, fat lips, etc ) in pink gorilla form.
Mojo Jojo only really crossdressed once in the original series, as aprt of a plan to sneak into the powerpuff's slumber party, so really i ave no idea why they just keep doing itall the time with him here
Mojo dabs and Blossom's miserable. Huh. Also, they goddamn ripped off the Beat Alls episode where Mojo falls in love and the original had an awesome scene detailing how Napoleon lost *AND DIED* during a pillow fight--and so the girls dress up as the losing side? Really?
Spoiler alert (not like it actually matters): It doesn't and they split up. From what I know of, I don't think it does mention it again. Could be wrong with that with recent episodes
@@fodv93 I feel like season three has gotten better if it started out with the quality I generally see in it now I don't think it would have grown such a large hated om. Well that and if the producers had been slightly more responsible human beings.
@@Sara3346 I see. Thanks. I'll definitely be catching up now. Speaking of that I heard that before it started airing, there were showrunners had the og voice actresses but were replaced with the ones we have now. It really makes you think what the reboot would've been if the original showrunners were there
Next time, The time has finally come for him to take on a certain special from a certain fourth Powerpuff gir- Oh Wait never mind we still got the second part to deal with.
