I have a set of the original heated glove liners before they they added the new features ie battery level indicator and touchscreen compatible tips. The gloves work very well in cold temps down to -15 to -20C C with a pair of 45North Sturmfist 4 mitts over them. I purchased the newer versions about a year ago specifically for the touchscreen tips as I use my camera extensively during the winter months. The heating in the right glove has already failed but fortunately was replaced under warranty. I also mentioned to Motionheat that the touchscreen fabric on the left glove's index finger was beginning to fray and come apart at the seams and would no longer work. They didn't feel it should be replaced on warranty so only sent me the one right glove. I do like the gloves but QC could be much improved especially for the premium price that you pay for them. BTW, the other touchscreen tips on the thumb and middle finger do not work on my touchscreen phone.
Hi PlatiBots, I know this is an older video, but I have a question. I ride a motorcycle year round in Philadelphia (where it gets cold in the winter). I wear a leather jacket and just got heated vest and was looking at heated motorcycle gloves as well as heated liner to wear with any glove. Rather than one of the cheap Chinese heated glove liners (which I think my vest is), I came across Motion Heat and like you, I do NOT want to deal with with a Stickman wire setup (especially since I may be adding heated socks or soles), along with all of my other riding gear. My questions is this: You mentioned a single barrel jack extension going up each arm (what I'd like to do as well and have the batteries in my inside breast/chest pockets of the jacket). Where did you get the single extension cords? (do you have a brand name? A link possibly?) Thank you in advance for any help/answer and thank you for a detailed review video.

Thank you for your review. I am considering getting a pair of these for doing winter photography. My finger tips always get frozen otherwise. How easy is it to handle finer things like camera controls with this glove (also the touch screen)? How does the fingertip heating hold up for -20 and below (albertan winter)? Does mittens + liner combo get in the way of using the nobs in the tripod for example?
Not being a camera guy, it's hard to provide feedback from that perspective. My gloves fit a bit big (long) so they are a bit clunky for that sort of thing. From a temp standpoint, I live in Southern Ontario so gauge more by windchill since we live near Lake Ontario which can make a -5 day feel the same as -20 elsewhere. I usually wear thin-shelled mits over top because of this. They deal with the wind, and these gloves keep it warm.
I beg to differ. I love my liners, great heat! I'll never go back to cheap crappy gloves where all the fabric layers stops the heat to reach your skin. liners to use with your favorite gloves makes sense.
