I just bought the Nikon P950 and it’s been working great for me. Taking pictures is a lot of fun. It was worth the $700. I took pictures indoors and they turned out great. I’m very impressed with the quality of this camera. Great video. ❤❤❤
Very helpful review. You covered some points such as the digital zoom option which other reviewers haven't mentioned. No, this camera doesn't have any AI built-in but pair it with a RAW post-processing AI apps such as DXO Labs or Topaz Photo AI and you can get dramatically improved images.
Just about every review of this camera I have watched they zoom out to something far away and complain the photos aren't sharp because of air movement. You may be the first reviewer I have watched that has mentioned that rather than zooming on something that is kilometres away, this camera can be used to get effectively get close up to something in the middle distance or closer. I have the 60X Nikon B700 and often use that camera to get closeups of birds and wildlife in and around my property. Have been thinking of moving up to the P950 and would use it the same way.
So when I use manual focus and zoom, then I press shutter, if my zoom is out, it makes the lens further away. Is there a setting I am missing so it doesn't change the zoom?
Estou surpreso de como a 90D + uma simples 250mm STM + zoom digital se têm quase o msm alcance de uma P950, encomendei uma Tamron 400mm e pelo que indica, terei o msm alcance da P950 com maior qualidade (32MP) e de brinde uma câmeras muito superior ainda mais aqui no Brasil que uma P950 tá o msm valor de uma 90D. Os contras será - não ter alcance de zoom ao vivo, gastar um pouco mais numa lente e o peso um pouco acima mas acredito que vale mais a pena gastar numa câmera de maior qualidade que numa P950, pelo menos aqui no Brasil !
Great reviews! Which one of this camera and Canon sx70 has the better autofocus in your opinion? Generally, which one would you recommend if the aim is to shoot birds if price (and the zoom difference) isn't a factor?

I bought this for bird photography and and am not impressed .Have not taken to it but last weekend planned to give it a chance again .Imagine my surprise when the screen has a black rectangle for name /, comment /copyright over each image on my card Seem I have to upgrade yet can I manage it no way It seems it's made with Windows in mind and I use Apple .Have struggled and so have others The help line have been pleasant but even they couldn't sort it Not impressed Money down the drain in my estimation ..PC's have upgrades but never had this issue with Panasonic Can you help ? Weight is fine for a man for me not so easy No joy
