Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Thanks a bunch Josh. This made things pretty clear for me. I’m going with the 1600. I also picked up the Uber flex 50’ and the 1.1 orifice. Thanks for doing all the testing. I figured since I was planning on around 70$ n upgrades and the performance was similar, it was a no brainer. Thanks for making that WAY easier to decide.

Thank you for the review. I spent 15 minutes staring at both of them at the store. Ended up not getting either (yet) because I couldn't decide. I knew RU-vid would have some reviews of them, and I'm very happy your review was so thorough. I am leaning towards the 1900 because I like the overall appearance better - cage, soap container, wheels; seems worth it for an extra $50. I have a gas Ryobi 2900 and it is great, but way to powerful for car washing.

Good reviews on these little machines. My 1600 lasted about 8 months and I used it maybe 5 or 6 times. It developed an oil leak. I returned it for a store credit and got the 1900. The 1900 felt like it had a bit more pressure, but after watching your videos apparently they’re the same. I do like the cage, and the ability to efficiently wrap the electric cord. I even use the wand that comes with it, even though I have a pistol grip wand and an extended wand. Like you, everything is hooked up with quick disconnects. It’s all right there in one neat little package. Thanks for sharing.

The newer 1800psi Ryobi is small enough to fit inside the Milwaukee packout base with quick connects installed on everything. I just put the unit, multiple guns and all the accessories and tips into 2 packout pieces. (I could really fit them all just in the base. Makes life much easier bringing it outside since I don’t have a garage. You could easily keep soap for a foam cannon, a buffer, polishing pads and detailing stuff in one rolling packout system.

This is what I was looking for. The Ryobi 1,600psi for $99. The 1,900psi $149one isn't listed in the Home Depot store near me. Only the 1,600 and then jumps up to the 2000 psi for another $100. I only needed something to clean off a 15 foot area of vinyl siding and rain gutter of algea/mold due to the shadow of a large maple. The other more high pressure needed job is getting a season of lawn mowing build up under my fabricated lawn tractor deck. It has a water cleaning attachment on the deck, but each year there's still some caked up in the corners. This showed me the cheaper priced one is more than enough and puts out more than 1,600psi. Right now it's $99 and I'll be there tomorrow to pick it up, as well as a couple other lawn care toys. Thanks for taking the time testing and posting this. The good side of the internet/RU-vid...still lives. P.S. Is that a '65' Chevy Chevelle behind you? I had one when I lived in the Denver/Littleton area back in the mid 1980's. Miss that car....damn. 😎👍

Thank you! They just released a new 1800psi unit that looks like the 1600psi one... I just filmed a video on it today and it has the exact same performance as the 1600psi so go for the cheaper $99 one! It’s a great value! My car is actually a 69 fairlane... it would be worth more if it were a chevelle haha!!
@buzbom1
@buzbom1 4 года назад
@@imjoshv Thanks for the info on the two pressure washers. Cool on your car being a Fairlane. I had just posted my comment when I thought..."I bet it's a Ford" and for a few min. I was trying to remember the name of Ford's almost copy-cat cars back in my childhood. Or maybe Chevy's copying Ford....hmm. It's a beauty, wish I still had my Chevelle ss. I was married, she wanted a house......bla bla bad choice. Got money back at closing that equaled what I sold the car for......DOUUUGH!!! (facepalm) The really sad part about my selling the Chevelle, is the teen who bought it...stripped it down and turned it into a chopped low rider.....it was a thing then. So depressing. Thanks again.

Thanks for the vid! i have the 1600/1800 psi model Looks similar to the one in your vid but I guess newer model? Makes sense to why it’s named 1800 now? I was wishing I got that 1900 model but now I’m good! The ability to store the hose, cord etc nicely is still a nice tough on the 1900 but if I think about it it’s so light and compact I can’t really see needing to wheel it and while not looking as neat, the cord, hose strapped to handle is fine and if I had the 1900 would probably just the carrying it via the handle anyway so I’ll stick to my 1800! Oh and yes the hose upgrade is a must! Factory stiff hose gets old dealing with quick!

Its a great unit at an amazing price! I would just recommend getting the aftermarket hose. Its make it sooo much nice to use 50' UberFlex Hose - amzn.to/3ktcI9u

Please answer,so they have the 1800 psi for $99 and the 1600psi for $99, would it be best to go with the 1800 since they have it on sale for the 99?

Hey Josh, I have the Powerplay Spyder 2000 1.4gpm. It has the M22 x 15mm. Do I need to buy the extra attachments for pressure hose/gun? if so, what do I need?

Thanks for the video. I've been using the Ryobi 1600 psi unit for a couple of years now and have been wondering if I should change, especially after seeing your previous video with the new Ryobi pressure washer. Glad to know I can still keep using this without missing anything, although I think I'll take your advice and grab some of the accessories you were talking about. Two questions though: first, I've always used my pressure washer with a 40 degree nozzle, as I was under the impression that is what is safest for washing cars. Can I use a different nozzle without worrying about harming the paint? Second, are there any electric pressure washers that have a greater GPM rating? I know with foam cannons, that's the measurement that really affects how well it works, but all of the electric pressure washers I've seen seem to top out around 1.2. Don't really want to mess with gas ones, so I was curious if you know of any electric ones that I could look at.

Yea keep that thing it works great! I run a 15 degree nozzle on mine most of the time. I stay back a little bit but the extra psi helps to rinse things a bit faster! There are higher gpm units like the kranzle but it’s really expensive. Some of the ar blue machines are higher too. 1.4 I think. As long as you switch to the 1.1mm orifice in your foam cannon you will be fine with the unit you have! It makes a huge difference!!

Do you happen to remember what orifice size for the 40 degree? What size orifice would you recommend for detailing for initial rinse and secondary rinse after foam?

Just bought this unit...Ryobi advises using a pump protector lubricant after each use. Do you use them? I don't know what the ingredients are but I'd hate to have residual residue left in the pump even after initially clearing it out on the next use end up on my new vehicle.

Just bought one and it no longer comes with a 40 degree nozzle. Do you know the orifice size of the 40 degree nozzle it came with?

Just bought this setup and couldn't be happier. This is my first foam cannon which was amazing. Question. Do you use pump protector? I thought this was a gas pressure washer thing but saw them mention in the instructions. Thanks again. Totally appreciate the resource.

Was curious if you knew the orifice size of the 1600 psi unit? Also would this unit be able to handle a smaller orifice size to increase the psi with a 45degree nozzle? What do you recommend and thanks!!!!

Hi josh. Love the informative videos. I am looking to purchase 1 of 3 options you reviewed: Ryobi 1600, 1800, and karcher 1700 cube. Am looking to do all your upgrades with hose, quick connects, foam cannon, snub nose gun, etc. My question: out of these 3, which would you recommend for not only car detailing, but also around the house cleaning. Appreciate your input.
