Friends, today our guest is a car from the USSR, powerful, dangerous, famous in our game, but, unfortunately, very clumsy. We are talking about a level nine self-propelled artillery unit - this is the 212A guide.
In fact, this unit is in many ways inferior to other artillery at the level, however, first things first and now you will understand what is meant.
As usual, first I would like to talk about the simplest characteristics, and we have at our disposal a typically small margin of safety, as well as one of the worst viewing ranges at the level of 270 meters.
If you look at the 212A's armor characteristics, we look quite advantageous compared to most of our classmates. For example, there is a chance that a landmine will cause incomplete damage to us, and the large mantlet of the gun can eat an enemy shell, but in general we don’t have armor and in no case should we rely on it.
The 212A World of Tanks self-propelled gun is also not happy with other factors that affect survivability. Not only is this vehicle large in size and it will not be difficult to hit it, but due to the shed, our camouflage coefficient is reduced, which also plays into the hands of the enemy.
In terms of mobility, I would say that the 212A arta is pretty good. Yes, there is a very limited maximum speed, this barn doesn’t spin in place at all, but the dynamics are present, due to which you can change position between shots without any difficulties.
Now it’s time to talk about weapons and I’ll be honest, our gun and the process of causing damage itself are far from the standard of comfort.
The first thing you should know is that the 212A gun has very impressive one-time damage, but it takes a painfully long time to reload, and due to the sloping trajectory of the projectile, we cannot shoot at the target, even if it is hidden behind the slightest obstacle (a pebble or a low mound) .
By the way, about the shells themselves, because we divide them into three types and it’s better to equip them something like this:
1. Land mines are our main type of projectile, we will shoot them most of the time, so we take the remaining space.
2. Gold land mines - as always, they have nothing special, except for the increased scattering of fragments, for which they are valued. Here you need to rely on your reserves of silver, but you need to carry at least 5 pieces, because splash acquired special significance with the release of update 0.9.18, now all enemy equipment that your fragments reach will be stunned and its parameters in battle will decrease for a while.
Another very important point is accuracy. In this matter, the Art-SAU 212A is very far from perfect, since our machine has a large spread and truly long-term convergence. Due to poor accuracy, a good radius of scattering of fragments is encouraging, because we have a chance to inflict at least some damage, even if we just end up next to the enemy.
By the way, another significant problem is the horizontal aiming angles, they are frankly bad on the 212A WoT, you will often have to move the body, waste time re-aligning, but there’s nothing you can do about it, you’ll have to get used to it and adapt.
Advantages and disadvantages of 212A
To play more effectively, maintain a consistently high average damage, and perhaps even drag out battles, you need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your car, trying to use them to your advantage. Now we will look into similar nuances for the Art-SAU 212A World of Tanks.
