the gray nh90 are operated by the 40e sqd of the belgian air force not the navy they are deployed abort schip but are mainly used for sar from basis koksijde
the camo project is a deadblow to the belgian army, we should've partnered up with NL and gone the mechanized route the camo project is good to bully african rebels or jihadists but completely useless in a peer on peer conflict
@@Big-boi92 hello heeft U ervaring met de Franse ????off met the Dutch ???en vanuit welke hoek ??en waarom dadelijk beledigen aan mijn adres door me dwaas te noemen zga ???
The ground forces are even less equipped than ours. We should be building a joint army in the low countries our navies already work together a lot. The two frigates and the six mine warfare vessels are a joint acquisition, Belgium has the lead in the mine warfare vessels and the Royal Dutch navy are in charge of the frigates.
Belgian already joining force with the French army, as you can see they ordered Griffon, Caesar. It is called project "Camo". The Luxembourg is also joining, point is, they'll be able to be part of the French army if needed. But you're also right, Belgian and Dutch should work together in the navies.
I think you might have missed the leopard recovery tanks im pretty sure they are still in use even though the tanks have been removed the recovery variant is still in use.
@@woltanson1289 The 3 first Belgian F 35s are based in the United States for the training of pilots and mechanics. After this training, the planes will come to the Florennes base and it is these personnel trained in the US who will train the rest of the personnel in Belgium
No mention of the 120 mm mortars with artillery, no mention of the 29 caesar artillery, no mention of the sky guardian drones , no mention of the mine seeking drones, no mention of the 24 MEPAC mobile mortar systems, no mention of the 17 +3 H145M helicopters and the 8 ( or 12 depending how the tests go) chinooks
@@ArmyEncyclopediayeah except for the numbers which doesn’t always match the numbers i read you are right. Srry but i saw so many videos who forgot and after i finished watching about the land forces i figured you didn’t mention it :)
we also don't like good air defense, except for these very short range missiles mentioned, we don't have a shit to throw at incoming drones, missiles, heli's or planes... and coming in they will ! we do score good in airpower, recon, anti-mining and medics, for our size... Our Special ops are also one of the best trained in NATO, but lack decent equipment for them ! most on order for the land component were the striker type vehicles
@@justkris6461 No i am in the Military have been deployed 4 times and what many citizens do not understand is that war is verry complex and everything has a purpose like we are mostly trained as a fast reaction force so we attack a point we flee we attack another point etc etc we are also experts when it comes down to logistics.
@@-timothydexterthegreatestp5391 ok. But we still do not have a lot of defensive capabilities if I see that list. no real air defence is worrying imo.Transports won't stop enemy incoming missiles.
@@justkris6461 because we do not need it because we are protected by other countries Air defences because we always operate from a joint base under the command of another country mostly France for us. “But what if the enemy gets to us” well they wont we have an entire battlegroup combined of alot of countries with one mission protect Belgium at all costs.
im pretty sure the only tanks we still have in service are the leopard recovery tanks but i didnt see them in the list altough i know a friend of mine is in the army as combat engineer and is issued a leopard recovery tank but theres only a handfull. But yes its a shame they took all the tracked armor.
Ye it isn't correct at all, it is hard to get the correct numbers. But this channel doesn't care at that. Especially the Pirhanna III apc. These numbers include the cancelled second batch. Belgium has way less of these APC's.
The Heavy Transport Helicopters i believe is going to be the CH-47 Chinook. due to Cooperation with Germany and the netherlands. but nothing is known as of yet
thx for just going over the wiki page and giving no sources and even then you made mistakes. Even the description of your video is copy paste from the Wiki. Literly word for word a copy.
Yes, and the first flight of a Belgian F-35A was in may. However at this moment, the first 4 finished F-35A's stay in the USA for training purposes. In 2025 the first F-35's should be delivered to Belgium. Meanwhile, Belgium is already investing in another fighter jet, this time from Europe (Future Combat Air System). At this moment, Belgium is an observer to the FCAS programme.
From Belgium, no budget for decades have led this awesome display of non capacity into a world fare zone. Our nuggets were absorbed into welfare. Where are our Leopard tanks. Sold to Israélien subsidiary
Belgium is a fraction of the size of the big players, having 10 times less tanks than your opponent or no tanks at all doesn't really make a difference. Better be a support force and assist said big players (with actual massive armies) you expect to fight alongside.
National "sovereignty" be damned. We NEED a European Army! We need to start seeing ourselves as Europeans and finally showing what we're made of! Can you imagine? Franco-German tanks, Polish IFVs, Italian helicopters, Franco-Spanish-German jets! It would be powerful and a lot cheaper for us all! Let's stand together for a Stronger European Union!
We have one of the best first aid task force in the world. With the BE fast task force, we can go everywhere in the world in 24h after a catastrophe or a place where urgent medical or aid is required. With medical supplies, facility and medic, first need suplies and food. All secuered by trained soldier.
As it should be :) With our limited size, non-belligerent mindset and surrounded by a lot of allies with actual powerfuls armies, why try to compete with them when we can complete them by being a dedicated support force :)
Its hilarious to see that our army just randomly has Toyota Land Cruisers and 132 Kia Sportages VW Tigaun's and Citroën Berlingo's (saw one with a military plate on the road) 😂
Funnily enough i actualy saw one of the KIA with military plates next to Camp Lagland base i suppose they're nothing more than what civilian company cars are and do, the vw tiguan are probaly the newer replacement to those.
@@Eastern_European_Farming No not really i mean they are great to get around for logistic purposes. My favorite is the Citroen jumpy its great to move materials from A to B without getting to much attention
