I love Andy and this is a super exciting board shape … with perhaps my least favorite graphic ever. It looks like artwork for a kids show. Going to get one and work on curb boardslides ASAP. 😅 Edit: I do love the satanic explanation, though… I’m going to choose to believe that that is the real explanation 😂

I love that you keep your fails in the video. I am gearing up to teach my daughter 16 years old how to skate. Whenever we watch videos, it is nice to know that fails happen

I prefer the dragon graphics to the flight deck graphics. At least the dragon graphics have an old school feel, the flight deck graphics look like an energy drink bottle.

I'm curious to see the next episode. Especially with slappies (as I'm too old for flip tricks now😢....) I'm wondering if the narrow shape in the middle with board rails make boardslide to hurricane(for example) more difficult? Or do you need to apply those board rails in a specific position?

I can't imagine a day where I'd view an 8.25 as a "tiny board" I've been riding an 8 for like 12 years now and I tried riding an 8.25 a few years ago. Felt like a damn air craft carrier under my feet.

I feel like Andy is one of those people that fine tunes gear due to a deeper knowledge on the skills.

Is it just my old dude OCD but does the graphic direction seem backwards ? Wouldn't the top of the dragon's head be the front? I realize that Andy made this board to be perfectly symmetrical (based on one of his videos about it). Truly appreciate, however, @Dan Corrigan's honest take and review on this board.

4:20 If the steel is ok, just sharpen it a bit on some curbstone or so. I guess anything will instantly get dull anyway if you cut griptape with it. You could also scrape some used skate wax from a concrete ledge and apply it on a smooth rail to have something to make a finishing pass. The wax should contain abrasive stone particles from the concrete aggregate.

I think the graphics are cool and it looks like a powell board for sure. Dragon art and metalocalypse-esq things usually arent my jam but it works on this board. You can tell Andy is super creative off the board as well.

I love Andy. I think he's an absolute gem of a human being and I'm planning on buying this board because it has some interesting stuff I really wanna try out. That being said, thats one of the worst graphics I think I've ever seen lmaoo(in my very irrelevant and humble opinion, of course)

I feel like you'd have some of these benefits with a smaller board than you're used to, in general. The boards you usually ride look like boats under you. It's not surprising that a board that feels small to you makes your tricks pop better.

Only thing about that board is if you credit card, your done.. Also, you lookin pretty cozy and might regret the Jessup choice..

on front shove, sit a lil more into the invisible skate chair. help u stay center over it

front shoves look so dope when you jump super far back. I snap my back foot sideways into the board so my front shove snaps towards my front foot

Unwanted god damn trick tip. Before you pop your tail for front shuv make sure you're not hanging your heel so much. Heel of your sole flush with the edge of the bloard. Maximize your sole contact through the entire rotation making easier more controlled front shuvs.

I quess you tryed out heroin skateboards eggshaped decks in other videos and in this one you try andy andersons board. Actually this is exactly the place im standing in.. And trying to understand (without being able to try board without buying it first), whats the difference between andy andersons board and heroin eggshaped boards? Specially in fliptricks? How is andy andersons board compared to heroin eggshaped boards perform? I used to do alot of flip tricks back in the day, but nowdays i feel its something with standard shaped boards that is totaly off! I feel weird standing on these classic shaped boards and not mention to flip or land a fliptrick. I did experiment with 8, 8.12 and 8.25 boards, 50, 51 and 52 wheels and also high and low trucks. But i suspect the main problem is shape of the board. Is it not easier to navigate flip tricks on eggshaped board instead of these other mainstream boards? And how about andy andersons board.. Is it easier then eggboards? Great video!! Thumbs up!!

I LOVE your videos! With those nollie treys, you said it felt better and I could also see tell it was flipping better with more pop. I love the innovation. Andy wears a helmet, does "freestyle" tricks and experiments with the functionality of new board shapes... reminds me a little of another freestyle skater who became a street skating legend.

Dan about your hip n body basically falling apart. I dnt wanna tell you what you should do but a good chiropractor can fix you right up. A good one. Theres a few really good ones on youtube. Should help with more mobility n just ingeneral. My financial situation sux but as soon as I'm good my ol azz is goin to a chiropractor even if I gotta travel to one across the states. Now to Andy's new shape. I havnt bought a new board since I was maybe 18.. im 39 and want this new board. In my head it looks like something I've been waiting for for so long. Jus hope the body can hold up till I'm good n I try to stay active.

When you are flat ground and do a 180 to switch between fs and bs, you so easily slide along the ground for the spin. Is this because you are on the smooth concrete of the skate park, or just from skill and mastery of manipulating the board?

On Braille they call Andy and he explains the technology/ideas behind the shape...and they made me a believer tbh. As someone who grew up skating the 90s and narrow "popsicle" 7.75-7.88" for a while 7.63 was in with Daewon Songs decks...so now Im bigger n have big feet so these wider decks make much more sense, are lighter...theyre attempting to apply some technology to a design virtually unchanged for 30 years n theres def better ways of doing it

for powell it's a good graphic but that's not saying much. his previous graphic was one of the worst graphics in skateboarding. so at least it's an improvement to that.

Everytime you try one of Andy's boards I swear your skating looks better. Maybe Andy is on to something. Still not sure about the graffic. It's ok I was really hoping Andy would get a new iconic graffic. Not so sure this is it. Still prob gonna get one tho. Haha

Andy Anderson skateboards are not available in South Africa. Matter of fact most skate decks that you might talk about are not available in South Africa. Some of us Africans we would love to skate, we do have roads and pavements.

I NEED one of these decks. MAD POP! you werent kidding either about not needing to pop off the corners anymore. Center of the tail is where all the pop is AND it spins better. They were floatier and straighter, compared to when u popped from the corner, (skate how u skate ur other deck), the board literally starts to turn itself. And as far as the 360 flips, popping from the back corner gives you more vertical therefore more pop too. vs going from the side. The amount of thought and purpose AAndy puts into these is incredible! EVERYTHING has a purpose!

This board has made riding and flat ground SO much more comfortable for me after taking a few years off. I think it's genius.
