Was going to possibly buy some stuff from them! Not anymore, there are so many online places selling sword that cross reference even how they explain it, so thank you definitely appreciate you!
That sword must be decorative because I got a Damascus long sword from them and it wasn’t bad at all. Needed the blade touched up but mine is steel pommel and cross guard. Solid wood handle and it has a good flexible yet sturdy spring if I hit with the flat of the blade. Maybe I got lucky but I love this long sword I got.
I've bought a blade from them and it arrived with a rolled over tip. I kind of knew what I was getting into buying cheap but I gave it a shot. It's pretty though so wall piece for sure. If you want the real thing you have to spend the money.
@@stevenfriedman2902 The blade itself was very high quality, but it was rat tang, and poorly connected to the hilt so the blade can unatach if you wiggle it enough.
I bought a Damascus steel Bowie knife from them, it came with multiple delaminations and the handle had sharp edges, so I would not recommend buying from battling blades
Spent 300$ on a sword from them I wish I watched this video before i did that. Crack in the edge of the blade inconsistencies with the pattern on the blade like it was almost printed on it rather than being real folded steel like they advertise. They claim hand made to order but the tearing on the leather on the handle and rust on the inside of the pommel tells me other wise. Was told tapered tang but it’s not even that looks like there was a tang that got broken off and some trash was welded on to cover that. Tried to return or refund the sword but they don’t refund sale items. That sword has been on sale for over a year. Total scam
I just bought the zweihandler I don't think I spelled it right but it's their big two-handed sword and I hope it is better than this one I didn't see your review until after I ordered it but I don't think I'm actually going to be in any sword fights so it'll probably do just fine on the wall when they measure their swords are they going the full length or the length of the blade because this sword says it's 45 inches long but that's not very long for a great sword is it
Thank you. I have built better blades myself. The guard looks like pot metal. Like frost cutlery crap. After watching forged in fire i might just buy a forge and make my own and sell some at flea markets or online.
Majestic forge, good forges for a fair price. Anvils can be pricey so do be afraid to do some lookin. Blu hammered is where I got my press from, I love the thing. Pays for itself easy. I would recommend start with thing that get your hammer swings down real accurate. Start simple then when you know your grip and swing are solid.. move to bigger stuff. This helps both with fatigue and with speed of your build. If you do id love to keep with your progress friend.
The so called "Templar"sword, apart from being an absolute wall hanger decorative piece, far from being considered as "battle ready", it's totally unhistorical. Not even secular knights had such over the top decorated swords, let alone members of a monastic Order. And don't get me started about the sheath (not scabbard). It looks like a Pakistani piece of garbage to me...
