Opus BT-C3100 is a universal charger that works with NiMH / NiCD batteries form factors such as AAA / AA (C and D via adapter)and Li-ion batteries standards 10340/10440/14500/16340/18500/18650/26650/26500, and in all possible combinations. Moreover, with both types of batteries the device operates without any comments, which is rare among universal memory.
Operating modes:
CHARGE) - the battery is charged to maximum capacity. On completion of charging is displayed, the filled container.
DISCHARGE (Discharge) - the battery is discharged. Once the process is complete the screen displays the merged capacity.
DISCHARGE REFRESH (Regeneration) - used to remove memory effect of rechargeable batteries by making successive 3 cycles of discharge / charge. At the end of the process displays the latest fused capacity.
CHARGE TEST) - determination of the battery capacity by performing a cycle of charging / discharging. Upon completion displays the merged capacity.
QUICK TEST (Quick test) - this mode is the definition of the impedance (internal resistance) batteries. Measurement occurs within 10 seconds. The result is displayed in milliohms. If the impedance is in the range of 20-80 mW, the battery is good quality. The battery impedance is greater than 500 mω not applicable in devices with high current loads. A quick test can be used to test not only batteries, but normal batteries.
For li-ion batteries, in all modes (except for QUICK TEST) currents of charge/discharge of the batteries one can choose from a range of 200mA - 1A (when using only two slots, up to 2A). For NiMh and NiCD batteries, the maximum discharge current is limited to 0.7 A.
