Good day, tankers and artillerymen! Friends, now we will talk about one of the top representatives of the class of technology, towards which many have mixed feelings. We are talking about British artillery of the tenth level and this is the Conqueror Gun Carriage guide.
The fact is that each top Artillery SPG in World of Tanks has its own specific characteristics and they can be conditionally divided into belonging to a nation, although, of course, it’s all about the design characteristics. This Conqueror Gun Carriage review will tell you about the uniqueness of our British gun and other most important points.
Let’s not break traditions and the first thing I want to say is that we have a small margin of safety by the standards of any other vehicle, but if we compare this parameter with other Artillery SPGs at the level, it is among the top three, taking second place.
Continuing to disassemble the Conqueror GC's survivability characteristics, one cannot help but notice another very important advantage - the presence of armor. Of course, all the artillery in the game is cardboard, but in our case there is a fairly thick VLD, located at a good angle and in some cases capable of repelling shells from even level ten tanks. Otherwise, regarding the sides, stern and deckhouse, we have no armor.
Another positive point can be considered our mobility. Conqueror Gun Carriage of the WoT art is endowed with a good maximum speed, as well as good dynamics and agility. Thanks to this, we are able to quickly take and change positions.
But there are also negative sides. Firstly, Conqueror GC World of Tanks has a poor viewing range, a measly 290 meters, and secondly, it has quite large dimensions, which makes it not so difficult to detect us, and getting in is not a problem.
Now let's talk about an even more important and interesting point, the pride of every artillery installation - our weapons.
In the case of the Conqueror Gun Carriage, the gun is a short-barreled mortar type, with excellent one-time damage, but a very long reload time. The design of our gun allows it to fire in a very steep arc (parabolic trajectory), thanks to which it is possible to throw shells over all kinds of obstacles or hit tanks directly on the roof - this is our unique feature.
It is worth noting that the Conqueror Gun Carriage WoT art self-propelled gun is capable of firing only landmines, of which there are two types:
1. Ordinary - our main ammunition, with good penetration, good damage and an impressive splash.
2. Gold ones - they differ only in that they have an increased scattering radius of fragments, an ideal option when you need to hit a target standing behind a stone or a house, as well as cause damage to several enemy tanks standing nearby. And with the release of patch 0.9.18 and the addition of artillery’s ability to stun enemy tanks, these shells have become even more important.
In addition to the long recharge time, we have a few other disadvantages. Conqueror Gun Carriage World of Tanks has poor accuracy and one of the longest information times. In addition, due to the design of the gun, we can shoot no further than 1000 meters, take this into account on large maps, especially if you fire diagonally.
By the way, there is another very important positive factor - our gun does not go down at all, but has the best horizontal aiming angles among the artillery of its classmates; the rotating mechanism allows the Conqueror Gun Carriage to rotate the gun 30 degrees in both directions.
