Arches paper!!?? Too much dosh me thinks... LOL Just larking about. Great paper, and highly recommended by all the top artists. Well, maybe Lois hasn't recommended it yet. Took me years to get past a fear of using pans. I had it in my head that they were just children's play sets.. LOL I still use mostly use tubes, more out of habit really. At least I hope to be doing so before this year had passed. The old eyes are getting battered by the NHS in the name of restoration. Long way to go yet, but in their favour, they're treating me with a level of urgency. I couldn't bare to be without all vision. Good sight all my life and then to be without? No thank you. My dearest told me off for griping about me making so many silly mistakes. Mainly down to worsening eyes. I suggested that she paint her glasses with a semi opake white, and find out how easy it is to get things wrong. She told me something I wont repeat here. Hehehe. Got to love her when she's cross. A few more "procedures" ( what they are I'm not quite sure, but she did mention surgery", and we'll find out if it's all worth while. If not.... I wont even go there. It was a joy to see you try out your new pans, and I truly hope they bring you many hours of pleasure. You know Morgaine, when the darkest of your clouds had settled and dried, in my mind I saw a single closed eye, with long lashes and smudged mascara from extended weeping. Gave me an idea to play with when I can see better. Not only doI see everything really blurred and milky, but when looking directly ay something small, can't see it at all. What's happened is there was bleeding in the back of the eye, so they clayed space invaders with a laser, and sorted that. Nasty). Next they have to fix in place something that's become dislodged withing the eyeball. They reckon that could go back to when someone tried to kill me some 11 years ago. (Not nice). Haha.. Took me an age to type this, one finger typing, and a magnifying glass in the other hand. Never mind, it's done now. Take care sweet lady. TTFN.
Dear morgaine, I really appreciate your review on the etchr paints. I love opening new paints, it's like opening a box of chocolates, so exciting lol They look lovely and vibrant and you could see with just a little water they came alive 😊 Lovely little landscape painted with such ease , wonderful brush strokes and great colour mixing . The cranes look wonderful and the whole scene is adorable 😍 Thanks morgaine for showing and for taking the time to show us the paints.
Thank you for such an informative and inspiring tutorial, another stunning picture 😍. As a beginner I will try to practice the different techniques! Thank you once again 😊😊
Very useful review. I am just someone learning as I go and was given pans as a leaving gift. I have 2 sets and one has brighter colours. Therefore, I would be interested in you doing another experiment with brighter colours. I have tubes too and find pans good for little paintings
Thanks for the review!! It's so nice to see a product being reviewed in real time as opposed to just reading about it. And as always, your painting is beautiful.❣
